Bolt-on ls1 vs pullied cobra

Could it not be as simple as the cobra owner put two cars between him and kept it that way instead of stacking more on? To me that makes sense, It'll bring more races because people think ( oh hey! look at that! he almost beat that cobra, i could beat that ls1. Maybe that cobra will race me?) Simple? I do it to all the ricers. I like racing so I try not to beat the crap out of them, makes them keep coming back for more.

Your setup that your building seems strong...my budddy makes 720rwhp in his 03 Cobra on Pump gas....race gas should be over 800rwhp. Thats still the stock block. I know dyno numbers dopnt mean ****. Just giving you heads up, power is easy to make in these cars.

Man, you guys get roped into Stopsign's little bitchfests way too easy. ![Icon Lol](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_lol.gif)
OP, great race. All the hp in the world doesn't mean much without a good driver. Check out the thread/video below for a great example. That Audi had previously trapped 124-125 with the builder driving it (great driver), then he sold it to this guy (who is a very cool guy, btw, no bashing here) and watch the outcomes. The last race you see what happens as he starts to figure out where to shift, etc. That car has a solid 7 mph on me at the track with a great driver, but that doesn't always equal a win on the street, as you can see.

And with the VRX4, you should be seeing in the 390s assuming you've got the supporting bolt-ons, a stockish drivetrain, and a good tune. It's possible to hit 400 if you've got an M6 and a bit less with an A4, assuming Dynojet SAE numbers.

See thats what I was saying. You cant win if you dont know how to drive your car lol. Im hoping for anywhere from 390 to 400. I have kooks longtubes, off road y pipe, slp loudmouth catback yeah its loud lol. I also am a m6 and I have an ls6 intake and p&p throttle body. Soo well just have to see what she does in a few months I guess ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

With your setup, I don't see any reason you won't hit 390 peak hp to the wheels with a decent torque curve as that cam is not one of the big hitters. I definitely wouldn't be surprised with 400rwhp, either, but I always aim conservatively. Better to be happy with good results or pleasantly surprised with great results than disappointed because you were aiming too high.

To the O.P., very honorable death! Sounds like the cobra owner was having difficulties driving that thing or something may be wrong with his car.
