So my car is in my sig. But i raced two 5.0's tonight very disappointing. The first one he comes up and says wanna race? i ask what it is he says stock 5.0??? Its like 88 to 91 5speedi say no than he says its got a cam.So ok lets go.Come to find out it has quite a bit of work 5 lug conv. trick flow trck heat intake cam headers and full exhaust with some other mods too. Anyways so we go i spin all the way thru first we are about even and than i shift and start to pull and go for third and the clutch stuck and couldnt get it.Embarassing.Oh yeah first time actually running car with the gear set up.So i lose by like car and half. Next one is same setup basically but sounds way better and meaner and its on m/t drags and he sprays his tires with vht lol !!He had some suspension work too bcause i could see the tubular lca's or trac bars and it was on weld drag lites 5 lug conv. So this time i dont spin as bad and im up and goto shift and cant get it again so **** im pissed and lost again by like a car better race though....So i need the drill mod or whatever it takes to fix this EMBARASSING PROBLEM. Man not once but twice and not by one but by two!!!**** im pissed.Well it was all learning launch all that. But had fun as always. Good night guys

just get a pro 50 or mgw shifter. I don't have the drill mod and rarely ever miss unless I get careless or not paying attention

i wasnt miss shifting at all i couldnt get it into gear because the pedal was on the floor and wont engage or disengage..... that was the problem

Its all good did the drill mod today and went and ran it soo its on for the rematch tonight hope they brang there vht again cause im gonna blow the doors off this time

I used to have that.. you try to bang into 2nd or 3rd and it just isn't there. Annoying as hell. You should've asked to run again. If a guy asked me to run and he had an excuse.. legit or not.. I'd give him the rematch.

Fox bodies still get it done. I should have never sold mine. I raced a H/C/I he would jump a car to a car and a half then I would reel him in...well until a car would come up in my lane. Damn two lane roads....

I want to run him again when I get a stall

Considering I ran my buddys 90 with a gt40 long block, paxton at 6 lbs, 75 shot on slicks and only beat me by a half car when I was on street tires and crappy tune....yah there slow.

I've seen fast properly done 5.0's but there pretty rare. most the modded 5.0's you run into are pretty disappointing especially for the owner

Of course their will be more slow foxes. They were slow as hell in stock form.

AND... their a great platform. Light, good suspension their a great car to build. Thats why you see so many with motor swaps.
