not a dumdumdumdum neon but a dumdumdumdum caliber lol i guess this is the new dum dum dum dum. on my way home from work at like 330 in the morning and im at a stop light. i see some headlights comming up behind me and he switches lanes to get in the open lane like everyone does when you come up to a light like this but the light stays red untill just before he gets next to me when it turns green. im not thinking anything of this car at this time until i hear a 4banger exhaust and a blow off valve and look over at this thing going past me and im like o hell no so i hit it and by 80 im at least 5-6 cars ahead when the next light turns red. He gets up next to me and i look at him but he is steady staring at the light so im like ok well go again light turns green i take off slow so i dont spin and then hit it he stays right next to me until about 20 lol then im just putting a bus on him. he followes me for about 2 miles till i turn off and to my surprise i got no ricer fly by i know its not a great kill but i just love beating turbo'd 4 bangers cause these guys think that there **** is fast.

side note lmao how you type in s-r-t-4 and it pops up dumdumdumdum

Nice kill on the Caliber. The motor in that car is supposed to be pretty damn good. I'm just dissapointed in the vehicle they chose to stick it in.

yea ive heard its supposed to have 285 hp but it deffinitley didnt seem like it

Weight kills it, or would be my guess. Aren't they AWD? Heavier than the skittles, thats got to be for sure.

No they are still FWD. It's slightly heavier than the Neon version but not by much. The problem with them is traction and the heavy *** 19's they come with.

The motor is pretty stout. It has variable valve timing unlike its predessor. It's stock turbo is a lot better than the Neons stocker and can max out around 370+whp before getting out of its efficiency range while the Neon's stock turbo struggles to get past 315whp.

Do a search for RealTunes caliber aka "Red shed". I believe they are making over 500whp on a stock motor. I'd link to it but most of the forums are blocked here at work.

the caliber almost makes the neon look decent thats how bad the caliber is!

ive heard they have a lot of potential but damn wrong car to throw it in lol good kill when i had my integra ( just intake full exhaust and suspension ) i used to mess with ls1's and cobras just to try to guess wut was done to them after the destroyed me lol
besides i figured i could out-turn most of the ones i came across anyways i was workin on an auto-x project b4 it got stolen

they make abouut 240 fwhp factory and can make over 325whp with about$1k in mods. they have neat features like a dring cooler in the glove compartment etc. but they really messed up putting it in a heavier car, they should have just updated the srt neon and it would been pretty impressive

its supposed to be 285 from the factory but like i said got damn it didnt even seem close i know people are saying there heavy but the weight is 3189 where as a 01 mustang gt weighs 3205 with only 260 to the wheels and it seems like the mustang would have smoked it
