Need some Advice Alright everybody I need some serious advie on a mjor grudge match!!! I have a 99 trans am 3.23's, slp lid, K&N air filter, hooker catback, bauer tb, custom tune, nittos 555's(not the drag radial), and asp pulley. 01 Lightning with pulley change, nitto drag radials, cai, and tuning. Ok...I ran a 13.3 with catback, lid, and K&N. So with my new mods what do you think the outcome would be? PLease give me some help cause theres going to be $ on it.

Re: Need some Advice good luck .....better launch that **** REAL HARD ...my bro runs 13.50's with only cai and chip ..no tuning ,no pulley,stock tires, watch out dude be ready to scrap if ya want your 100 bucks back

Re: Need some Advice Hes got a chip not tuning if that matters. I dont plan on loosing cause they are real ******** and talk major **** afer I beat him once and he beat me...hey told everyone I got killed twice and my **** is slow! Hence the grude. Thanks for the input...keep em coming everybody.

Re: Need some Advice All I can say is weight reduction. Rip everything out that isn't bolted down and some stuff that is. When you need to win and don't have cash thats the only thing to do. 
Just make sure you take it all out neatly so you can put it back in later on. Best of luck to ya.

Re: Need some Advice free mods are worth about 10rwhp if you believe GMHTP. they grabbed .05 seconds and 2mph out of them in track testing. *Shrug* i agree that on this short notice, pretty much just start dumping seats, spare tire, factory amp, anything that weighs more than a few pounds. general wisdom is that every 100lbs is a 10th or so in the 1/4mile.
from what i've heard of the supercharged 5.4L, if he can hook that power up, you may be in trouble. his pully change and tuning alone may be worth more than 50rwhp on that thing. run him to 150mph tho, and you'll probably kick his ***. aerodynamics of a brick. hah.

Re: Need some Advice Like scarecrow said, run him to 150, then you'll surely kick his ***. A lightning's top speed is 142 (redline limited).
FWIW, i have a buddy in one of my classes that has similar mods he runs 12.50's on 28" Hoosiers. Add a couple tenths to that for you guy running on Nitto Drags.
It should be a close race, good luck.

Re: Need some Advice I guess you could say I have a chip...I have a re programmed stock chip that I sent off. Ill be running him around december cause Im mvoing out the house and getting the tb,tuning, and pulleys. Was going to do headres but dont want to give up the exhuast note I have now.

Re: Need some Advice Thanks for all the help so far everybody. I figured he was going to be in the 12.9 range and I might be in the 13.0 range. The lightning also ran a 14.6 with chip and cai(said he unplugged the wrong sensor for boost blow off) in the same weather that I ran a 13.6 with ctabck and lid.

Re: Need some Advice Well It will prolly be a month or two before I get the last few little mods, but when we run again ill let you guys know what heppened. And Ive been hearing he may have a dryshot....but im not going to run him with him spraying me though.
