Doesn't matter. A car that traps 100 can beat a car that traps 130 if he gets to the end first. Usually you have someone there to spot the winner, or maybe you don't have a lot experience in this type of thing

if from a dead stop on the street, a car that traps 130 is behind a car that traps 100 by the time the other car reaches 100 then he lost

Do you race? ever?

Quite often. But on the street you have to take into account more than just track times, such as the streetability of a car. Take a lap

again another reason why the nhra and the quarter mile should be thrown out the window in the argument of racing on the street

I'm sure with the infinite adjustability of NHRA cars in both suspension and power, they can be dialed in to run on the street. I've seen sanctioned boddied cars run on the street. Where have you been?

i know this, but when it comes to racing on the street where the quarter is not marked off.. the stopping point is judged by trap speeds.. is this not correct?

well the fuzz aren't exactly the kindest people towards us around my parts so we try to not go to the same spot over and over, and marking it off would make it really obvious

telling a someone who has spent time making there car hook to race someone from a roll who can hokk so that the race is even is just as unfair as telling someone who has spent time putting a supercharger on there car to take the belt off to race someone who doesnt have one.
