Well then... Faster would really mean which has the best top speed. Bust out your 1.73 gears and you can roll from 60- Infinity and BEYOND...
Fail....
Races start at zero.
People i will accept a roll from :
Jimmy johnson
mark martin
jeff gordon
tony stewart
joey logano
Etc.

Races start at what ever speed you want. But starting from 0 is the most inaccurate of all speeds to see which car is faster.

Incorrect again. 1.73 gears would make your car much slower both top end and bottom end, don't be ignorant. You are not even making your maximum amount of torque/HP until usually 3rd/4th gear, racing in 1st/2nd gear then just means one car has better acceleartion because of traction or gearing, not power/weight. Racing from a stop GREATLY skews the results of which car IS faster.

of course gearing and traction matter. They matter from a roll as well. Power/weight are not the only factors.
Racing from a stop GREATLY shows which car is built properly.
Racing from a stop is the only way to see which car is faster.
Im glad you have your theory that only power/weight matter. In the real world where big boys dont where pull ups... gearing traction suspension driver power weight all make a difference.
Its called racing. Rolls are fun to. But trying to discredit a dig race "as inaccurate means of figuring which car is faster" is dumb.

Around here our big street events are held by roll racers. Ever heard of the NRRA? Come to San Antonio/Austin and get your *** handed to you by cars actually making real power figures.

It shows which car is better set up to race from a stop, nothing to do with being "built properly".
No, racing from a stop is the only way to see which car is faster out of the hole.

Sure most of the time you'll still win top end. But the problem lies in people who just set their car up for dig races and will shut down at 70MPH right as you were about to blow by them like they were standing still.

Set up a shutdown speed... typically here we do 0-100 just because of the caliber of cars here and the local track is 1/8th mile so...
Tell you what. Ill give you a 1000hp car. Ill take 500hp. Well do a 40 roll. You run on 165 MT front runners... all the way around.. I bet i win.

No I NEVER said that. I said that racing from a roll is a better way to see which car is ACTUALLY faster rather then which one gets out of the whole quicker.
