Default TBSS vs. Evo XIII

TBSS: Stock, AWD... and it's blue
Evo XIII: intake, down pipe, test pipe

I see this guy all the time at the local Wawa since he works there. He has a pretty sharp Evo 8 that I told him I'd run against with the WS6 once he gets his mods up a bit, and that I'd love to run him with the SS as it sits. Well, I caught him up there on an off night and asked if he wanted to go. He mentioned something wrong with his suspension but still said "I'd be pretty upset if I lost to that thing." Now, he knows what TBSS's are all about since he said one ate him up in his previous ride, an RX8.

He proposed a 10 roll. I left the Wawa first and I'm pretty sure I ended up around 15 MPH.. 10, 15, same ****.. I never check. He honked it off.. right before the third honk I put the pedal to the floor in an attempt to avoid getting jumped by the manual. He inched in front, shifted and pulled half a car. I started to reel him in, he shifted and pulled back to half a car. Then I finally pulled a full length past him by 90 or so before we shut down since there was a cop up ahead who had pulled someone else over. We exchanged thumbs ups and went our separate ways. Hopefully we both add some mods as the summer goes and can get a friendly competition going.

Notes: TBSS pulls 1 length from 15-90.

so far i am undefeated in the TBSS. 1-0-1. Pretty sure these things can't be beat by anything short of something built by NASA.

Nice kill OP.

I'm a little surprised with the results.
Anything can happen on the street though.

Me too considering both trap the same speed stock and one has mods.

I was surprised as well. Once he yanked the half car on me I figured he would've cruised to an easy 2-3 car victory. He mentioned something was wrong with his suspension. I even told him before we started that he shouldn't have a problem edging me out. Next time I see him I'll ask if he missed a gear or something else went wrong.

So far I've been pretty lucky with the SS. Tied a light mod lightning and beat a light mod evo.

so a stock TBSS beat a very lightly modded Evo from a roll, I know Evo's are roll racing monsters but neither is the TBSS. I would have guessed the EVO would win that one. shows you what I know

I'm as surprised as any of you. I've never raced an Evo before, but I was pretty sure he had the trap speed advantage on me even when stock, let alone with a couple mods.

Somewhere between 330 and 340 MPH. Depends on how heat soaked the motor is.

I'm guessing the latter. There was a lot of minor **** wrong with the body.. had a carbon fiber spoiler and hood as well. The guy bought it used.

Those cars are beaten half to death by a fair lot of their drivers...
