waxed a lightning today i was on my way home from fresno today on the 5 with 4 people in the car including me and a completely filled trunk with luggage and ice chest etc. so here comes a lightning had all kinds of badges on it for example instead where the ford emblem goes on the tail gait it was the same shape but said fast........ anyways the truck ran and sounded great. but not good enough. he came next to me and revs it so i said lets do it! i was doin 74mph and began to downshift to 3rd. before i even had it in gear he hits it. so i nail it! by the time i shifted to 4th i was about a car length aheaad and pullin very hard! i was pullin so hard i looked down and hit the brakes hard when i saw 130!!!! on my dash. ( the 5 was very empty and very straight) that was the fastest i have ever gone in my car. we all looked back laughing and he was a speck in the mirror! he came back by when i set my cruise control back to 74 and his window was up and his passenger was nodding with quite a suprised look

Come on man.... dont race with three passengers.. thats such a dumb move..
Enough rant.
Good kill. Lightnings are very inconsistent as a whole. I have seen some pullied ones that roll the eff out. And some ported blower cam ones that seem like... well a truck..

L's aren't the greatest roll racers.......but they CAN be when setup right.
ANd **** man..you were in my neck of the woods.
Nice kill. Oh, and only 74 on I-5...****, usually if you aren't goin' 80+ you're getting passed. LOL

Lol, Gettim BOAT!!!! Its always the same!!! What the hell was in that cadi???? hahaha, very nice kill!!!
oh and its a 13.1 to 13.5 car with the right driver! or even better depending on the conditions(roll racing)

cruise control at 74 seemed like a good speed to watch grandmas boy! :d

hey, i was on the 5 on the 17th too.... but i was hauling a horse with my dad's truck, so no racing/speeding for me. well, technically was speeing, doing 60-65 with a trailer, but cops don't bother you when all you have is a little trailer. but yeah, 74 on the 5 is pretty slow, i normally do about 80-85. was going crazy having to drive slower with the trailer.
