You're joking right? when the c6z06s first came out they were over 70k..

And there's no comparison... We've had a number of GT-Rs down at the track and at BEST, they're good for 7.6s... Which is fine... but that's what the Z06s are pulling; and cammed, they're in the 6s... 30 grand for a late model cammed Z06 which BLOWS THE DOORS off the >$80 grand GT-R?
Nope... Can't see it...
The old GT-Rs had MAJOR issues with the tranny... I wouldn't buy one on a bet. Word is the new GT-R V is a major improvement...

And I would rather have a real skyline than this gtr thats out now any day. And more than likely these guys with the new GTRs are probably the same as all the 50-80 yr old men and women I see driving around in newer corvettes, they don't care, its a status symbol.

Man I think it's a mistake to knock the new GT-R. The euphoric vibe will die down soon. It's just a reaction to months of media over-saturation. Don't overlook what the car can do because of the annoying GT-R fanbois and nutswingers. The car's amazing but my main criticism is the excessive curb weight. This thing is weighs only a **** hair less than my FX35! The new version they've started calling the "Spec V" is supposed to be a couple hundred pounds lighter IIRC. Amazing how well this thing moves around a track.

I was only a teenager at the time, but this reminds me a little of the buzz when Honda brought the NSX to Acura dealerships in the early 90's.

Yea it weighs quite a bit but then again so does everything else now too. GM is building new camaros and Ford has new mustangs that are around that 4k mark too I am pretty sure lol.

I'm a little confused. YOU got the jump on him (was it from a dig?!?!) and he passed you at 10-15mph quicker when actually it is actually a 6-8mph quicker car.
Can you explain?
How badly? I know your stats including gears I would have had it be a very close race for you?

They're a nasty car for sure. I had one here that I tried to play with. Unfortunately, every time I tried to get beside him to get a clean race he would just floor it with me about four cars back. I tried to play catch up, but he would very slowly inch farther away. I think a big part of that was him getting the momentum with the hit. I think it would have been a real close race for me if we could have got a clean one in, but I still think I would have lost.

I'll explain....
I WAS GUESSING at the rate of velocity of which he went by me....
Hope this clears it up for you!
And furthermore... how do YOU know if it was 6-8mph faster than me???? No possible way he could have (here comes a rarity for this forum...)
MODS???!!!???
Just lettin' you know what transpired and that the GT-r is a movin' ride.
Pleasure to see the taillights...
