Last post was me beating up on a stock C6 Z06
anddddddddddd this post is about a loss to a stock LS1 with bolt-ons & N20
A local guy has a clean '00 Z28 with the ole zero option package and weighs a whopping 2700lbs w/ him in it.
He's got the BASIC bolt-ons (exhaust/converter/gears) and 100shot. This car is the definition of a clean stripper (no heat/no ac/no airbags/no cruise/no bumper supports/no door supports/no wipers/no horns and runs 15" Bogarts)
...you name it and he prob doesn't have it!
*clean drag race
I dump the clutch ~4k and mash the gas. The 17" Mickey's dead hooked and I got the jump (felt real good too)...shifted 2nd and spun pretty good, shift 3rd and by the top of 3rd/into 4th there he goes! In the end he pulled about 3 1/2 - 4 cars on me..
A true testament to the importance of weight (or lack there of) in racing...

Nice death,sounds like all you need is some n2o yourself .Go back and clean his clock!! It's run what ya brung.That's always been my saying. Never tell the other guy what you have.
