me. with just the catback i trapped 107-108. when i put the stock exhaust back on to get out of a ticket, i ran the car once and hit 12.9 @ 107.01 with a 1.91 60'. same problem as the other runs, no way around the waterbox, cold tires.

even in the wrong gear the EVO would have won. he might have started a little slower, but once he hit boost, he would have pulled. i've raced people like that on the highway in 6th gear before. they get the jump and think they're doing something, then boost hits and i pull.

On a positive note. I dig EVO's, especially that grey color they come in.
And there's too much bitching on in here. Seems like the racing section is going to **** with all these newbs & trolls.

Cliff notes:
Typical import driver with a 4-banger modified to the very edge of blowing a piston out of it's tailpipe races a base model, lowest powered engine version of domestic car. Barely wins race. Trolls about it on domestic board expecting to impress everyone with this amazing feat.

the MR is the heaviest. the RS is the lightest. when i weighed my MR at autocross though, it weighed in at about 10lbs lighter than an RS. this is because of the gutted trunk, lighter suspension, brake rotors, carbon parts, etc. the MR has bilstein shocks, an aluminun roof that effectively lowers the center of gravity about 3mm, forged BBS wheels, 6 speed transmission, vortex generator, zero lift kit (air dam extension up front, brake cooling guides, whickerbill lip on the wing), HIDs standard, couple other little things that don't matter lol.

best time i've ever seen for a bone stock IX MR was 12.6. with a good driver they've been known to go 12.7-12.9. even the 05 8's have broken into the 12's with a good driver.

Well, good thing he didn't make me look silly then. There was only one or two cars that beat me that night. I don't really remember what they were though. Nobody was THAT heavily modified there on street night.

with the right driver the new camaro ss will beat the new evos. gotta remember when mags test cars they just floor it and with tc on most of the time. they test cars with what comes with them. its how it is done. from the video i seen of the camaro ss. it did the 13.0 burning its tires over and over for a good 2 seconds or more. im betting some 12.6 to 12.7 times will be hit by them stock once there broken in with the driver mod.

Edit: Did some more digging today..seems the 5K limiter holds the car back stock..a lot of claims that removing that 5K limiter got the person 12s almost everytime. Pretty impressive...still haven't seen traps that high.

sound alittle fishy, I dont doubt that you would waste him and pretty bad but to go from 2 cars behind to 6 lengths ahead that fast takes a huge power differance between cars. You car is also barely modded.
I raced a evo with my moms 07 G35 sedan(not G37) on the freeway, with 4 200+ pound guys in the car(my bros) and we pulled on him more than once and he never pulled on us. My moms car is bone stock too. The runs were from ~75mph-~130mph. We didnt beat him too bad(maybe a car) but we still won
