Default 98 m6 vs evo8

so i was headed home from a buddies at about 2:30 am this morning headed down the freeway and just crusing thinking of course there will be no one to race cause people seem to be a bunch of sissies around here.so i see some weird headlights coming up on my left at about 70 ish while im crusing the slow lane at about 60 cause im about to go threw a spot where cops sit.so soon as i pass the spot i say why not and decide to catch up to see if he wants to run had to mess with him for a second but he finnaly came around.
tha car is a evo8 with exaust and who knows what else.so the first was at about 80 and the guy wouldnt slow down and made me run him in 4th so said
screw it and we both went for it he pulled me by 2 cars then by around 100 things went the other way and i got him by a fender.did that a couple more times and then i finnaly got to use 3rd big mistake for him.by the top of 3rd i had 3 cars on him and when i went to 4th he started to fade away run ended up being a 60-130ish.by the time i got out i had about 6-8 cars on him.
thought id share my rice kill this was my second car i have raced against on the street the other car was my friends 480rwhp cobra so that didnt go well.
hopefully mor kills to come.
oh yea can anyone tell me why my car with no traction control turned a low traction light on while racing this evo in 4th gear?
thanks joe

Holy ****, lol, your traction light was coming on in forth gear?? that could get a little hairy, is it time for tires? And to answer your question, you still have the light because your cars has wheel speed sensors for all 4 wheels for your abs and will illuminate that light when it sees the wheels spinning at different speeds just to warn you that you are in a low traction situation. Good kills too by the way

yeah but it did not feel like it spun the tires at all.it turned on about 2 seconds after shifting in to 4th.for some reason in the last few days the car has started to make more power and still has no tune with a bunch of codes.
as far as my tires go i have pretty new khumo ecstsa spt's they have worn down to 6/32 in the last couple weeks
hope fully ill get my friend with a full exaust 04 sti to run me soon.
man i missed the rush of runing on the street

good run, evos can be nasty, but most out there have just exhaust intake and boost upped to 22-23 maybe , which from a roll wont shine much but there is a few baddass ones out there.

It gets harder and harder to read some people's stories.

Nice kill, those evos can be really stout.

hey i never said i have the greatest grammer.
i raced the sti after work tonight.we started at a roll of 50mph to 120.on the hit he put about 8 cars on me i decided droping 2nd was a good idea that turned out to not be true. by 4th i got back 4 cars and we stayed dead even.
next round we went from 60 mph where i was in 3rd at about 3700 rpm which worked out we only went for 5 seconds and shut down.we were pretty much side by side i maybe had a fender on him.the car is a 04 sti with 3'' down pipe
back with a 50/50 recirc un tuned.were gonna go after it again once we both get a tune.
thanks joe
