Nice race. Mach needs a tune it looks like (not because he lost, because of the black smoke). Going from a roll took the machs advantage away. Do you know the mods it had?

Nice SS man.

Yeah it was a while ago but if I remember he had a CAI and cat-back exhaust. My car was longtubes, lid, true duals, and 3.90 gears untuned. Both cars are manuals. Thanks for the compliments

Hmmm, maybe my perception is off, but it looks like you only had 2...maybe 3 lengths at the end. I would ahve expected more if he only had that compared to your mods.

Oh, and I'm sure he had an O/R midpipe. That's classic for black smoke like that.

I would say it was 3 lengths. I'm pretty sure about his mods and I know that what I listed were correct. I think the difference was that he was in a lower gear than me I was in 2nd and I know for sure he was in first. Also he told me that he never let off the gas when he shifted I did. His car only had 30k miles on it and was on his 2nd clutch and tranny. But either way it was a good race and I was impressed with how his ran for only having those few mods done to it. I would like to run a similiar Mach1 to see if the results are any different or the same.

Just something I'm perplexed about, I would definitely think if you went from a 30mph roll with him in 1st gear and you in 2nd, you would be playing catch-up. Mach 1s have a fantastic 1st and 2nd gear ratio, so I would definitely think he would jump out on you.

Um yeah...cause, that's exactly what I stated. right?

Come on man, that kind of stuff isn't needed.

Correct, except, 30 mph in first doesn't leave much 'climbing' room. He would have shifted in to 2nd rather quickly, and the OP does have 3.90s.

Man you have excuses for every Mustang death on the internet. Why can't you ever just let it be?

Really?...hmm. Funny, cause I thought I mentioned I expected that fbod to be ahead by more than 3. Oh wait, I did. I'm not giving excuses, I'm stating the obvious.

Just like the OP would have been ahead more if he had a custom tune.

I merely correct the misinformed if I have more information that applies. If you see that as excuses or BS, that's your opinion. Try re-reading my posts with a different mindset and you might see what I'm saying. You also might want to check out the bench racing section, cause I just got done posting an FBOD beating a new edge cobra.
