Talking BMW Z8 takes on the ol Mullet Mobile

Beautiful car

I was getting on the I-XX highway from a hockey game, and this guy was right in front of me. Immediately he took off, so I chased. He immedately started revving his car and playing around, so I knew he was game. We started to get a little silly on the I-XX but I had to exit onto the XX freeway...thankfully so did he. I was right in front of him. Waiting for the ramp to open up to 3 lanes and WTF! One lane the whole way!

I can't wait for the one lane on the freeway to open up, and of course, it's blocked off at the next exit and everyone has to exit. ******* construction.

By this time he's 6 cars behind me with all the merging traffic, and we all go up to the next street and hang a left towards the on ramp to get back on the freeway. Of course, I make the light, and he doesn't. So of course I pull of to the side of the road and wait for him.

I get a few cars in front of him and get on the ramp to get back on the freeway first. I'm itching to run this guy, and as soon as we merge on the freeway, BAM! Back to one lane again. By this time I'm disgusted.

Finally after 3 miles, the roads open up. He's far behind me, and I scoot over to the right lane and wait. He immediately jumps in an open lane and starts to haul ***. I see him coming and start to go. He's got momentum, and by the time he hits my door at about 80mph we're dead even, and I start pulling on him. By about 120mph I have about 3 cars on him.

We later go at it again, this time from 70-130. This time I put about 5 cars on him. We went at it a few more times, but finally he gave up.

By this time I had to exit, so I rolled down my window to wave. His wife in the passenger seat waved back and shook her husband and pointed to me waving. He refused to even look in my direction. He was soooo pissed. I could see it on his face. Those types of guys deserve to lose.

His wife shrugged her shoulders and I waved back to her and was off the freeway.

Kick *** car.....just not quite fast enough to his liking so it seems. **** for well over $120K I'd be a bit peeved too

Nice kill ... I think the Z8 is really more for looks then speed ... like the Z3. I think of them in the same category as the porshe boxter S. Neither of them are really fast, supposably handle well though. Who knows, I don't really like them either way.

3495lbs.... about 530 lbs lighter than the M5, but far from a tank.

Yeah you are right. The Z8 and the M5 run the same engine. The Z8 is a little lighter.

Yeah, bronc I think your right on that one. Actually I think they actually released the monster engine for like one year then downsized the power on them. I remember reading about something like that in car and driver.
