Default Grocery getter Altima beat bolt ons camaro

Not my race just found this thread when i was surfing on the web

http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/rac...odded-ls1.html

they're from oklahoma, i wanna hear the camaro side of the story if he's here

Altima was on steroid(read NAWZ), and the camaro makes 350rwhp

i just find the race is pretty interesting since i wouldn't expect an altima even with steroid would beat a bolt ons camaro, especially from a dig...

My 02 maxima had the same motor and with just intake exhaust and a tune i was putting down 250hp 240 tq, and theres a few other guys out with the altimas and maximas that put down 260~270 with full bolt ons.

So with a 100 shot its believeable , the camaro could of had a bad launch or hit revlimiter and thats all it would take for the alti to catch the lead with a 100 shot.

i need to run this guy just for the fun of it lol, i think he mentioned in his thread that he goes to DFW pretty often, what kind of power you put down? you shouldn't have a problem to beat him

I could set that up for you if you wanted just for fun... PM me if you want too.

Oh and I havent dyno's her yet but I know she runs at about the power she needs to be at.. If I had to guess I would say between 333 to 345whp

Thats what im saying, on the Nissan Forum he says he did everything he could to prove it but I respectfully disagree. The camara in the car would def be a step up. Ive heard them things are fast so its believeable imo but id still like to see a better vid.

i'm still in denial that an altima with 100shot like the OP claim can beat a 350rwhp camaro

Camaro has an automatic. It needs a stall, sticky tires and a better gear at the back.

I personally don't know him but have seen him at Able racing in Midwest City when he was having all that done. I can see it happening, until the SS gets gears and a stall. someone will put him in his place soon. Right now he's the good guy cause camaro guy sought him out.

I dont believe a second of that. A race is all about the driver anyways. But given everything is equal at all times, the 6MT is the way to go.

Typical ricer.... All things equal (mods) at the same track, same day, next to each other... An A4 will win 95% of the time..

yes sir, quicker more consistant shifts, harder launches, etc. pretty much every drag racing tranny in the pro's is an auto. most are full manual but its still an auto. PowerGlide FTW!!!

takes a damn good driver to win with a stick, but like you say lemons, thats the 5 percent.

I agree with you in a dig race BUT from a roll i've beaten a lot of A4 car with same mods with almost the same hp with me

unless of course if you don't count a roll race a race

I raced an altima on juice once. Set him out seven, gave him the kick, and walked by him in 2nd gear. Of course at the time I was running 10.70's@130 through a TH-400
