Default Bored and missing the old days. Slow car warning*

So in this video here I was in highschool. Loved to buy and race Neons. I owned 9 of them in the end. The cars specs go like:

intake, longtube header, exhaust, ported intake manifold, ported tb, some random springs, Modern Performance ECU, and some Falken Ziex 512 tires. Ran 14.3 @ 93 mph with a 2.0 60'. No interior sound deadening, no ac, no ps, so the car was lighter than *****. Nearly 2200 lbs even with me in it. The cars in the video are pretty clear. First race was another kid in school who talked alot of **** about neons and had a 6 cyl camaro. So I knew I had that win in the bag. Then on the street the first the mustang was playing with me. Had to be a 12 second car or better because I could hear him toying with the pedal.

Not gonna lie me and that neon had alot of funny memories. But yes the Z is a lot quieter, smoother, and less problematic.

I feel the same way about my first "fast" car: a '78 Z28 I cobbled together from 72-81 camaro parts (wasnt originally a Z28) and at its fastest was probably high 12's (454 w/ LT's, performer RPM, 850 Holley, ported heads and RV cam and a Muncie 4spd w/ 3.42 posi).

I can't stand neons. The SRT4s are ok, but I don't like those either.

I definitely don't see why someone would buy one and try to make it quick...

I used to hussle in my 94 accord back in the day. I stripped out all the interior in it and even made a hood out of a foam board. Please don't laugh. I bet I could run a solid 17 sec. quarter in it.

Man now i cant wait to get my first car. Yup just turned 16 working on the lisence now. Hoping for a 98+ Z28.
Yea I hope i can get into the "highschool racing scene" haha. shouldn't have any trouble with the z28 compared to what most of these guys have over here.

haha, i remember my first car. 86 Iroc-z with a corvette motor, 4.10 gears, reverse manual th 400, i loved that car. was great in high school! made 391 RWHP and i thought i was king of the world, funny story!
i thought i was untouchable, so this girl Jamie i was talkin to and tryin to get it in with, she loved my car, so you know i had to show off a bit with the hole shot and brake stand. well her dad told her he wanted to run me, so ofcourse me being untouchable and all in my fast iroc, i accept the challenge. and get murdered by a pro street chevelle that he dad bracket races with on the weekends. good time but put me in check quick
and yes i dated her for a month afterwards
