ISF vs TransAm

Regardless of what people say they run mid to low 12's in street trim. Not everyone is going to hit that number though. That is what people have to understand.
Just like everyone is not going to crack a 12.7 in a 2010 camaro, but there will be those who do. It just takes time...

you must be lucky to find a is-f that dyno'd nearly 400whp, managed to race you and you beat him twice.... then you luck must have continued because he managed to say things which look good posted in your post.
it seems to convenient that some might even say it could be made up.

Me too but people looking at the IS-F will probably cross-shop other sedans in its class instead. For my money I'd take a used M5 if I needed 4 doors, performance and luxury. Once the new F10 M5 comes out next year used E60 M5's should drop in price too. Still too rich for my blood but not $90k anymore.

im starting to think a certain guy in this thread actually was BEAT by one of these and is why he is trying to downplay there performance lol. pretty sure they would rape a GTO or a monte ss rofl...

.. suppose you guys are also gonna say that E55 AMG's are mid 11 second cars too, eh? Ran one of those yesterday: From a nasty deadspot at 70mph in 3rd (trans 'should have' dropped to 2nd but for some reason didn't) he pulled 2 cars: by 5500rpms I had pulled back 1 car and was coming on strong, but I let up because of traffic. He kept in it for a few more seconds than cruised through traffic at over 100mph... But I guess that didn't really happen either, eh liquid venom?

as far as i know no one makes cams or heads for the isf or is350. the guy was bsing u.
Give me a ******* break fellas!!! Step off the japanese circle jerk rug and get back to reality. I just happened to race another one wednesday night on my way home. raced him once from 35mph (second worst spot to race from with a A4 GTO: 3,000rpms in second and wont downshift): guy stayed riight with me to about 60mph where I finally hit my powerband and slowly pulled away. Stunned, I race him again from 60-120mph and put 2-3 cars on him. Ended up following him to my town and talking to him at a gas station: he had cams (reground stockers), ported heads, a intake and headers that were NOT a "joe-Z". Forgot what he said, but it was a japanese tuner shop according to him.
Anyways, he said he put down 398rwhp and ran 12.9 @ 112mph the week before last with a DA "in the negative 1000' range" on ET Streets. He laughed his *** off over your guys's comments about how they are a 12 second car stock. Not a single one in the Washington and Oregon area has hit 12's even with slicks and intakes/exhaust.
Oh yeah, he said when he was stock he was dead even with stock 6spd LS1 camaro's: the IS-F's launch better but the LS1 has a bit better pull up top. "mid 13's all day long, thing didn't heat soak at all compared to other cars I've had".

Had that impression when he said he "had the cams reground and cleaned the ports up". Thats a term I haven't heard in 20 years: regrinding the base circle of the a cam to make the lobe bigger. Didn't think it was possible for a number of reasons on the newer steel cams and especially with his overhead cam setup, but its what he said.
