What track? Near the midwest? I had a buddy who had a 03' z06 with full exhaust and bolt
On's and a tune who trapped 118 here at kcir. I may be wrong but didn't the z06 get a h.p. Boost in 02.
Up to 405? It still would be pretty rare here to see a stockish 01 z06 trap 116 here in kc.

118 is very low for your buddy's Z. I also have a 93 vette with h/c/i that puts down 389rwhp and traps 118-119. Thats some pretty heavy air your racing in.

Yeah the air here in the midwest can get heavy.and high humidity. Sometimes I wish I was on the eastcoast
To finally get into the 11's. It sucks to run 12.0's. But from what I seen around here its not too bad for a cammed
Bolt on goat. I have a built 93' ta. Stalled.gears.h/c/i.full weight. 320 to the wheels that only traps 106.

Don't feel bad man my buddies 04 GTO with ported 853 heads, trex cam, fast intake, headers, tune, m6 runs 12.2-12.4 @ 111mph at our track. On a 150 shot he ran 10.8 @ like 128 mph though. Our track sucks @ 2300' and usually hot / humid pacific northwest air during the summer. Track closes in September so we rarely see DA below 3000'.

yeah Flash, some of these guys don't get the da aspect of it. That z06 would be mid-hi 12's on slicks here, Im guessing high 12's. Hell it's not hard to get a stock goat to run high 12's at atco or some sea level track. but here they avg. mid 13's at around 103mph. stockish.
I dont care where you run at..the numbers are the numbers and what i love about numbers is that they dont lie...
The fastest of the fast GTO's have touched 12.9...the fastest mph have been 110 mph...
the fastest of the fast C5Z06's have touched 11.9...The fastest mph have been 119 mph...
So if well driven GTO's are averageing 13.5 at 103 mph at your track....
then well driven c5z06's will average 12.5 at 112 mph at your track
Meaning that a 114 mph GTO is no big deal..
Some just dont give respect where it's due..A c5Z06 is a animal...People talk about C6Z06's and Vipers and ZR1's ect....But a 3150 pound 350 rwhp C5Z06 is still a bad ****** focker.....
GTO is a big cavalier with speed equivalent to a 1997 C5 at best

A GTO on the other hand I don't think has ever broke 110mph in the 1/4 if memory serves?

Just so you know that I am getting it, your just not getting me. Here is my earlier quote from my 1st. post.
"I do believe in stock form a c5z06 will pull a stock or pretty stock LS2 goat,if it doesn't win the dig, it will start pulling before the 1/8th. and from a roll I believe it would pull it pretty steady".
One more:
"Re read my post. I said a stock gto shouldn't hang with a stock c5zo6.
Plus your 01 zo6 with ziptied exhaust wouldn't trap 116 here in kansas city. Sorry but with your mods the 114mph goat would walk you".
And last quote from one of my prev. post:
"That z06 would be mid-hi 12's on slicks HERE, Im guessing high 12's. Hell it's not hard to get a stock goat to run high 12's at ATCO or some sea level track. but HERE they avg. mid 13's at around 103mph. stockish".
Get what Im saying? Im comparing here to ATCO or A Sea Level TRACK.
No need to hate on the goat.

Hey FryZ71, just curious how do you like the L92 heads? I'm trying to decide weather to go that route, or a nitrous dave's wetkit. and just curious what kinda power you putting down on the dyno? I was thinking I should be around 450-460 on a dynojet with a set of the L92 heads.

Im thankful I haven't broken anything yet in the drivetrain. I usually sidestep the clutch at around 4,000rpm's. the best 60ft. I pulled in the goat is 1.69
and in the stalled LT1 ta footbraking it was 1.8's. so she's hooking pretty good. The goat was alittle more consistant with the mt et street's bias ply's, but now Im running the hoosier dr's. They look almost exatly like the mt bias ply's I was running, but Im still trying to figure out what exact air pressure to run them out, I'll have to wait until spring to figure it all the way out.
The MT's liked 16lbs. in them, but it seems like the hoosiers like alittle more pressure in them. Here is a vid of a couple of us getting together this last fall, Im running the hoosiers. and the last vid is of me running against a 440rwhp 04 cobra. Im on the mt's there...
