No clue. I was born in 73.
The only real argument is that tire technology has improved, so traction should be easier to come by, but otherwise, I'm sure the reasoning was basically the same back then as it is today.
All I know is what people tell me. "I wont run from a dig, because my car sucks at it" or "I will only run from a dig because that's where I have the advantage" Everyone wants to race the race that gives them the advantage.

I can't find a decent street long enough in my city to stretch my nitrous Busa's legs so the highway is where it's at for me.
Right, like I said, you'd have a better race/advantage on a roll.

For someone that has a car as fast as yours, you sure are cranky.

It's ok. I'm grown. I've dealt with trolls more clever than lemonparty

Don't remember ever saying that..

What I've actually said was, I have a slow stock 2v GT DD that I got for a good price. My favorite pony car of that era is actually a 02 WS6. I've actually said this many times.

Because someone would LIE about running a 13.9? Really? I was actually too embarrassed to put it there at first being in a forum full of 11-12 second cars. But ok. No one here knows me IRL. If I were to lie, I would have said... Oh I don't know, I had a 911 Porsche that took blown Vettes or something.

If I would have known that stating that I run HIGH 13s in a Mustang would get a few people's panties in knots in a LS1 forum, I seriously would probably ... done it a lot sooner.. j/k

Seriously.. I am going to start making out personal fanboy cards for certain people in this forum

BTW no offense to most of the forums members here. For the most part, everyone has been decent to me. And thanks to all those that sent me pvt msgs and such. I'll be ok, I promise

Ah the dig vs roll debate. Think of it like this, you got these 8 second drag cars i.e Titan Motorsports Supra's, robbing you Hennessey's 160 mph TT Vipers, looking for runs. Well, I know for sure a TT Viper spins til a good 150 so it's useless from a dig. Same for the Supra with 50lbs of boost. There's no way in hell your hooking on the street. Roll racing is about **** loads of power, and like imv films said if you don't have a 130 mph car or better, go home.

I am not knocking roll racing at all when I made the comment I made. But there are a lot of people that simply will not race from a dig because they either don't have the skill, or their car lacks in that dept. Is that the case every time? Surely not. I also mentioned about people who wouldn't run roll races either. They only have a dig advantage, and once you get past a certain speed they are dead in the water.

Having said that, you can take races from a dig however far you want to really. Depending on the road obviously.

In the end it everyone wants the race that their car has the advantage in.

I have never said one thing about your car... I'm just giving the facts.

And if you think I'm an ls1 fanboy.... My god, are you mistaken. Maybe you should hang around a bit longer and see some of my posts. I will NOT give credit where credit isn't due, IE. 2V mustang. I will however give credit where it is due if I feel like it. IE. Mach/Cobra. I am a huge Cobra fan.. One of my best friends has a pullied/ported Cobra and we are a big friendly rivalry. I will own one some day whenever I have the dough to blow and need a change in something. However I will probably always own lsx based vehicles for my quick/fast/race/reliable car.

Oh I don't know, I had a 911 Porsche that took blown Vettes or something.
This...

And for you girls that send Kevin PMs talking this or that... You need to ask the woman for your pants back. If you can't take the trivial **** I say as a grain of salt that is pretty sad. Its the damn internet. ****, half the time I'm joking when I post especially when I'm "hating" on someone, you can't tell... Why? ITS THE INTERNET! Grow up.

I'm just making the point that it's nothing new. Some people want you to think that this just came about in recent years. There's a place for both kinds of racing and I'm sure the debate will rage on for years to come.
How the hell you get a 2011 stang?????

I shift around 6,200-6,500 depending on if I'm paying attention or not. I'm looking forward to a rapter shift light or w/e they are called.

So regardless of what people have done on a 2v you're going to poo poo it just because it's a 2v?

I mean is it really that hard to believe a person that can drive can get .1 quicker in a car than the stock times listed? :/
