Hugger... dude cmon man I know you like your Cobalt but let's check back into reality here. You're not beating any well driven 6spd LS1's. The GMS1 tune is good for mid 13's @ 104-106 at best. And if you think your car is going to hang with one from a roll, you best take a good jump and then cut it off at ~100mph.

From my experience with my bimmer we were neck and neck from a roll. i ran a catback 6speed camaro ss from a roll a few months back and was able to pull 2 cars on him. It all comes down to the driver and I could see where hugger can beat a faster 6 speed car operated by a lack luster driver. I ran into another member on this board that has a lid, LTH, 6speed and tune on I55. I'm not going to list his name but if he sees this he can chime in. Every time we got on it I was able to catch up with him in the bimmer pretty easily(we ran in the same lane). Now when I ran the slobalt it wasn't as easy as my other races. If I were to use my car with an automatic as a standard of measure I would say that the slobalt was definitely quicker than a couple other 6speed light bolt on LS1's I had ran previously.

Here is the slobalt vs my bimmer. I'm automatic and at no point in his shifts is he even starting to fade. NLS is nasty and can make for very constant driving.

Dig runs are a total different story, but you can't right off that those little balts can move out and for a car that has 4 doors and is a DD that is still pretty damn impressive.

Thats exactly it, just because a car can be driven fast doesn't mean the driver is capable of doing it.

Maybe it's just me... but when I beat a bad driver I usually won't even mention the race to anyone. Unless the guy was a ***** beforehand. It's just a waste... so you beat a car with a guy who couldn't drive... sweeeeeeet.

You just beat a shitty driver, not the car that's all. Happens all the time, nothing special really.

Wait, didn't you post up a kill story, where you raced a poor driver, that didn't even own said car, and it was a girl?

I wouldn't call the guy in the second run on I55 a shitty driver. Much better than the first guy. Just putting a point out there that I've ran a bolt on ls1 6mt and a tuned cobalt ss. The cobalt gave me a better run for the money honestly. Now from a dig I wouldn't doubt the cobalt would come up short

You yourself admitted a well-driven 6-speed LS1 F-body would pull you 9x out of 10. Sounds realistic to me.

mm I think you could take an LS2 goat to. I've run neck and neck with one with less power/weight.

Not a well driven 6-speed. I haven't raced enough A4 LS1's to make a good judgement on that race though.

What? I'm just repeating what you said.

No offense. They are cute little cars indeed.
