Default S600 verse bolton GTO (no vid)

I've taken out a E55 and a E55 AMG, RS4 (too diff times), new M5 (3 different times), so I wasn't expecting a challenge- but was wrong.

Heading home MMOB and passed a S600 in the right lane. Road went to 3 lanes just before a interchange and out of nowhere the he goes flying by in the just-added right lane. After a couple seconds I change lanes and catch up.

Him in the right lane and me in the middle lane behind a three abreast **** block: His blocker turned onto a onramp and he goes WOT. A second later I jump over and persue but am too late: At about 90mph I started slowly closing but he's still a few cars ahead and letting up for traffic. Damn for a non-AMG car that things pretty quick!

Traffic precluded any more shenanigans for another 4 miles until it opened up again: 3 cars infront of me hopped into the carpool lane (S600 in lane to right of me) so I drop to second and romp on it and let up: sure enough he hops over and matches me so I go WOT: by 120mph I only had aprx. 2 legitimate car lengths on him.

After we are back into traffic we exchange hand signals and thumbs up. He motions the thumb and fingers '$$$' sign and points at his ?car or engine?: I make the universal 'turning wrench' motion and point at my hood. He's all grins and looking kinda relieved!

Last I saw him he was persuing a poor helpless Challenger R/T on the offramp at the next offramp. Wish I knew how that slaughter went down!

Little research on the S600 was confusing: they came with various engines, from 360 soomething hp to a V12 with 500+hp. Had no badges besides the S600 and they all look the same to me... any of you guys know the difference? I would hate to think a 360hp 4200lb car that runs 14.1 hung with me that well! So fingers crossed it was the V12. Unless that $$ sign and pointing at the hood meant he was modded. Oh yeah: Black guy driving, close cropped hair, maybe mid 30's driver.

JUST got done racing a late 80's 5.0 LX: he had drag radials, big stall, dumps, cam, roll cage, gutted interior, and loud as hell. Gave me some good runs (55-60mph starts, ran to 90 and 110) but I still pulled him. Kinda wanted a dig race but he went a different way... BADASS sounding car though! Damn it was loud.

No disrespect is meant here but im fairly sure that was the non twinturbo S600 that you ran.

The S600 2003 and up is a force to be reckoned with on the highway. Guess thats what about 738 lb ft of torque does to a car

A bone stock TT S600 typically traps 115mph.
If your goat is around there, than I think it's possible.
Nice Kills.

Haven't been to the track so I'm only speculating (this is the internet after all), but I should be in the 112 range at least. I've ran with or beaten my share of low to mid 12 second 'capable via magazine test' cars, and hung with or beat guys that actually have had there cars to the track at those times, too.

We shall see in a few months when the damned always-closed Pacific Raceways opens its doors again to noobs like me.

Sidenote: 3400 stall converter is 'in the mail'. It's soon to be best friend cam is already waiting on a shelf in my garage.

those are pretty bad ***.... (2003+)... just a ecu tune and they are over 600hp/ 700tq..... that's "65 AMG" territory....

the n/a v12 ('01-'02 360 hp) would not have even kept up.....
