stock lt1 vs stock ls1 = ls1 death

stock lt1 vs stock ls1 = ls1 death so my friend just bought his first fbody yesterday, 95 z28, auto, bone stock. we were out cruising in it (he had bought it just 2 horus before then) just showing me and another friend his new car and we see an ls1 t/a (stock exhaust tips so assumign all stock, preety quiet) in front of us. light ahead turns red but we got ahead of him in thhe next lane so he jumped behind us. we roll out slowly on green, our driver said abotu 1/2 just seeing if the t.a wants to play, and the front end bucks up and he tries come flying around us. our driver hits it and just as the t/a gets next to us and start pulling away, he stares us down (with kid in passenger seat) trying to show us his badass LS1. well, he forgot to shift. we hear him pinging the limiter for abotu 5 seconds and then he lets off as he got out about 1 car ahead. white smoke starts coming out of the exhaust and he nails the brakes and dives off into a parking lot.
SUMMARY: lt1 plays with ls1, turns into real race, ls1 starts to pull, forgets to shift and blows out white smoke
so shoudl my friend call that a loss or win?

All an LT1 needs is a couple bolt ons to release the choke on the stock intake/exhaust system and they will hold their own against stock LS1 cars on the highway.
0-80 is a different story. LT1's will always do well from a dig.
If he missed the shift, its a race.
If he missed the shift and blew his car up, IMO, that voids the run.

I could understand if his kid was a baby, but come on... Let's not be a wuss ok. If it wouldn't have been for my dad tearin' *** around town in his 72 Nova I would've never got that need for speed...

you won but you didnt out muscle him. if your fighting som1for say 20 seconds and you hit them in the jaw and knock them out youve won, you can also win if youve been fighting for 20 seconds and he swings at you, misses, trips and knocks himself out. one way is out muscling him the other is his dumb mistake. either way you won.

Lol, when I was young I had a del sol with a few mods and thought I was the shiat.. I ended up racing this dude in a lil euro-body kit car and stomped the shiat out of him by about 2 busses.. I started to exit and as I was slowing down the other dude flew past me but right as he got past me I heard a loud pop and then his car started smoking really bad and he cousted to a stop! Well I started laughing my *** off at him and pulled up to the light in the right turning lane at the bottom of the exit(with music blaring) then gave it some gas on nothing happened! I blew up my engine too!! It was a major fail on both our parts... it was about 10 years ago..

find him..run him again...his stupidity cost him..so if you want to call that a win thats on you..maby he just needs the driver mod? but stock for stock? i havent seen an LT1 that will take an LS1...just saying.. i am partial to LS1's *sig* but i have always loved that Low end LT1 grunt..
