Default F-Body vs C5Z

I was minding my own business traveling down the freeway in vegas when I see headlights fast approaching from the rear. The vehicle got up besides me and I noticed it was a red Camaro (assuming LS-1). He slowed to my speed as he got next to me. It was at that point, I heard a distinct spooling sound, but figured what the hell.

We got one good run against each other from about 60-125. Needless to say, I got walked pretty damn hard. This Camaro was fast.

Anyways, My close to stock 2003 C5Z (intake + tune + dr's) had its *** handed to it.

Nice kill.

No shame at all. I'm a car guy and don't claim any brand or model loyalty. I pretty much knew I was gonna get beat but wanted to see how fast this Camaro was.

I was impressed.

I can't even imagine how fast a single or dual turbo LS1 setup would be. I've seen a few in here that have said setup. Might even be someone in here that beat the OP.

Nice death?

Will do headers and a medium cam. Think I'll stop at that.

Eh.. thats what you say now. I wouldn't be surprised if that Camaro was a member of this forum. Hopefully he can chime in and let us know what his mods were.

If you really believe that you are only fooling yourself.

Noble death.

A SC'd LS1 Camaro was running 12.0s @ 120mph at Sears Point. I guess it was a Vortech?, it was sitting down low, couldn't really see it with the hood open. That was an impressive set-up too.

An intake/tune C5Z06 is a 116-118 car all day....120 mph woiuld barely walk away..

Im thinking this turbo guy was more like 125 plus mph to yank him the way he did

At least. By the end of the run, he had me by about 6-8 car lengths. I would be cool if the owner was a member here. I'm real curious as to what he has under the hood.
