Default 97 Cobra Vs. 02 WS6

Well I don't know if you would call this a good kill or not but i',m going to post it anyway haha. Well I was coming home yesterday and I saw a Red 97 Cobra(Very low and sounded like full exhaust i don't know what else is done to it) and I didn't think much about it, well I ramp on the interstate and he is right on my tail. Well we let traffic pass and he gets up beside me and we slow down to about 50 and he hits it then I just take off and it was almost like he hit his brakes and I put a good 2 buss length on him at about 100 and I just got off at my exit and went home. I see him the next day at my parents store and hes in a white ford truck and he said "I was the one in the cobra" oh ok and he said "that thing runs good" I say thanks and he drives off. Btw my WS6 is 100% stock.

A friend of mine had a mild bolt-on '97 with 3.73s. He ran 13.6s to my 12.9 at the strip that day as it backfired and ticked it's way down the track. On the interstate it was the samke as your story. We'd hit it from a 50-60 and it was like he shut her down. I was exhaust and intake only.

Cool cars though. They're nasty with some radials, 4:30s and some good driving.

Nice kill OP. Always wanted a WS6. Sounded like the Cobra needed some gears. It's always nice to put bus's on someone.

From a 50mph punch a full-exhaust Cobra *shouldn't* get pulled like that by a stock LS1 WS6, but who knows what happened. Good kill OP.

I didn't mean it does have full exhaust I said it did sound like it but who knows cause i didn't ask. He could have just had straight pipes and his car was smoking out the tell pipes (haha..). Thanks man!

Nice kill OP. I doubt it was 'two buses', but still...nice kill.

And you'd be surprised what a good catback will do to the sound of modulars. I'd guess a catback only, or light bolt on untuned.

OR

the owner has no idea that those cobras love 6800 rpms in darn near every gear.

Nice kill OP. "Two buslengths" on a 97' Cobra with a stock LS1= Bad Cobra or Bad Driver. Could have been a rebadged GT also.

Good kill but your story had run-ons just like my comment does but its all good cause you killed a cobra in the end its all about having fun and yes 94mustang302ci it was a red mustang not a white mustang because the op said it was red and it also may have exhaust but may not cause the op did not ask the red mustang driver ok bye... p.s. u have better spelling then me so its all good! Haha 8-/
