I am driving down Douglas BLVD last night at about 11 when I see the familiar headlight/foglight pattern of an import. Turns out to be a 3000GT, so I figure, eh, why not. I take it slow and let him catch up, just to see if he's game. Can you guess what happens next? Ricer fly by! My God! Didn't see that coming. A drop into 3rd catches me up and I pull up next to him. I point to the upcoming light. We're waiting for the light to turn green, so I ask what he has under his hood. He said he had a turbo and all the works, custom tuned engine, blah blah blah. I didn't see boost gauges, so I was sure he didnt have a turbo and was full of lots of ****. Anyways, light turns green, I absolutely stomp his ***, and I have a good 8-10 car lengths by 80. As I am slowing down (hes still speeding up) a Placer Sheriff comes out of a side street we just passed. He hauls *** and catches up to us, gets on the loud speaker, and says we both need to pull over. ****. 80 in a 45 isn't gonna be good. He comes to my window first. "You were goin a little fast. You know how fast?" Me:"Umm...no sir, I dont" Him: (with a smirk and a wink) "Only about 50" Me: "Umm...ya, sounds right" Him: "But your buddy back there, he was doin at least 75" Me: "Yeah he was going pretty fast" Him: "Well, I am gonna have to let you go with a warning, son. Do you know why I'm doin this?" Me: "No idea sir" Him:"Because I have a 2001 Trans Am. Also, I hate it when these guys run around here with those coffee cans on the back" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Basically this cop let me off the hook, and screwed the other guy because he had an F-Body himself, plus he made fun of the 3000GT

Dude... We need to hook up sometime and stomp some ricer *** together! I'm always cruising down Douglas looking for action, especially at the In&Out. Wasn't out last night because I was finishing the cam install. Same thing kinda happened to me. I raced a modded Cobra on Sierra College at Douglas, going towards GBHS. Needless to say I beat him by 1-2 car lenghts by the next light. The next light, where Jamba Juice is, turned yellow so we both hit the brakes hard. He decided to pull into the Jamba juice area. I look across the intersection and there is a cop, Placer County Sheriff to be exact, and he is in the turn lane to go into Jamba also. He goes, halfway through the intersection he puts on his lights and pulls over the Cobra into those apartments! I kept going to my friends house...a think a little pee came out

E-mail me sometime... I was gonna go out tonight but still breaking in the cam and welding up a new tunnel trace. I think I will be going out next friday with a camera and with my friends car, 96 Mustang V6, he doesnt do any racing, just carries my other friends, there are four of us that usually go out...

was it a vr-4? 3k gt vr-4 is twin turbo awd. my buddy has one, boost guage is in in a 3 guage horizontal cluster ontop of the radio. 3k gt's are nice, but very hard to find mods for. and they are slow . nice kill, luck escape.

slow? i thought BPU on a 3000gt/stealth was in the 400hp range, easy? Now granted they are piggy even compared to our cars, but 400hp is pretty damn strong regardless.

my best friend's little bro has a AWD stealth, dyno's 498hp problem is the car still weighs 4000+ lbs. runs 11.70's though. it's got my respect.

it's the AWD that kills them. two differentials, the six speed and esentially a transfer case. if it were just a rwd car it would be decently fast stock. about like a mustang GT
