i dont think its fast by no mean. for all of you who missed what i said i thought his gto was merely headers not a four oh two car, so i was saying i believe i could hang with what i thought his car was, and obviously is not. me vs him would be like cutting down an oak tree with a spoon, not gonna work

BUT...i raced my friend in is 09 GTI with my stock lt1...
he said all he had was a cai, which is the only thing i have to...
we did a 30 roll and i pulled him nasty. pretty bad.
then we did a 50 roll...and same thing.
now im not saying you didnt win, its just that, no a stock gti can not beat an lt1. sorry.

My friends A4 has all the same mods you have and a 224/224 cam and he just barely walks away from me off a roll. Always wanted to race him minus the cam lol

You think so purple? Having driven in lots of LT1's, and driven half a dozen LS1's, I'd have to say a LS1 is, bone stock, gonna put up half a dozen car lengths AT LEAST on a long tube equipped LT1. And equally modded? Shoot we all know that a LT1 is never gonna hang with a equivelantly modded LS1 Fbody. And a LS1 Fbody is a total drivers race with a LS2 GTO: mod for mod they are a drivers race, too. -- at least until you get into the 10 second range where Fbodies can make the leap to faster times much easier (IRS and "Biggest Loser" candidate status of the GTO hurts it).
I've raced lots of LS1 Fbodies and '04 GTO's: only lost to one that was in the bolton stage. Close *** race's (half a dozen of them) gave him the average of 1 fender on me. I won the one 25mph low roll (he was coming back slowly though). The next month the same '02 WS6 barely lost to another LS1 Fbody that had LS2 heads, small cam, and a every bolton imaginable- dudes WS6 runs like damned strong for boltons only!
EDIT: And I am stickin to the dig race. Don't blame anyone but yourself if you cant launch- I'm not gonna give you lengths AND give you your race, too. Jeez...

good kil OP, idk how that happened but it happened. the only GTI I've ever raced I destroyed.
I've also beat a 6.0 GTO and now w/ a cam(heads aren't on yet) I would love to race a bolt on GTO, even more so after I get the heads on
I've been trying to convince my friend to start moddin his goat..

Well headers and a tune, the stock exhaust on them is such a good exhaust people only pick up a couple of hp. May have had a tire but headers being the only "mod" really. I guess I should say full exhaust to clarify since some will get upset about it.
So full exhaust GTOs have gone bottom 12s.

wow i have raced two ls bodys beat both one stock manual and one lid catback auto. both by over a car to top of fourth and very slowly pulling. my car dynoed what it did before new roller rockers valve springs and tune def over three hundred now. i know f bodys owned four and one was a ninety eight wssix. i know what im talking about mostly. anyone with a stock or light bolt on goat or fbody. i will race dig or first gear roll. im in spartanburg, we can even do the track. i want it on video when my 305ish rwhp slow as lt1 runs similar times as you guys im on 245 50 16s kumhos as well. consider this a callout a friendly one to show what someone who can actually drive an lt car can do

Seriously if the 8.5 @ 83 is correct there is no need to show you its slow, your sig does. From a roll a bolt on GTO will rape the **** out of you.

that was with a blowmaster and lsone kn fipk a 160 stat and a 1.98 sixty back n feb, i put headers, rockers, and got it tuned i hope those things made a difference i wait they did i pulled two ls cars the same amount from same rolls cant be drivers since on an auto
