09 GTI vs LT1 camaro

09 GTI vs LT1 camaro My friend and i decide to head out for a little cruise in his GTI, we come to this red light and this guy in a black LT1 z28 pulls right next to us, he gives my friend a look like "lets do this"...so i look over at my friend (fast and the furious style) and say "smoke em!" 
light turns green and they both take off even, z28 pulling by half car with the torque advantage over the 4 bangar, turbo kicks in and he quickly gains his half car back. dead even up to 65 then the little GTI starts pulling ahead half a car, by the end of the run we were ahead with the camaro on our bumper. we were going to talk to the guy to see what he had (probably stock) but he made a quick left on to a street and took off. after his victory, which he tought he was going to get smoked. we went to celebrate

Sick interiors on thsoe GTis, but i think he just got a bad launch with the GTi becuse they come with the smallest stock turboes of any production car, basically fully spooled at idle. But hey nice kill, im sure that Lt1 was suprised.

Yea good kill OP. Err, OPs friend. One of my buddys had a 05 GTI and theyre nice little cars. Not the fastest but cool for what they are. And yes, I did like the interior also.

i can race closely with small cammed lt1s especially autos from a roll.....my car is the lowest optioned stripper available 3280 with 1/4 tank of gas with only weight reduction is the spare
