Default Is this a ricer flyby ?

I was heading home from picking up some stuff at the local store & i pulled up behind a really nice looking black g37 with blacked out wheels at the light. turns green & he gunns it around the Conner i wait till we both get straight, i'm behind him then he hits it again so i jump into it & my car almost gives his g37 a cavity search ! so i hit the brakes as he rides up on the guy ahead of him.he goes around him & just nails it as i watch this tool hauling *** down the RD at rush hr traffic coming towards us not knowing if there are any cops or people going to pull in front of him ! than he gives me the 3 brake light tap when he was about 1/4 mile down the RD. Does this douchebag actually think we were racing ? i'm guessing he did. i can hear it now him going around all his little friends telling them how he destroyed this f-body the other day LOL i'll be looking for him & hopefully i'll find him in a area that's empty enough to give him a little run.

Yep he thought you were racing. G37 is a high 13s low 14s car and isn't bad for a v6.
I had a similar experience, 2 asshats tailgating me in pm rush hour traffic and when the road cleared up, i yelled over to line 'em up. They just changed lanes and sped off and probably thought they punked me.

Whats done to the camaro?

funny you guys mention that Nissan douschebaggery: it's also my experience with them, too. The only time they will get frisky is in traffic, the heavier the more idiotic they act. Glad it's not just my perception.

Yep, you got the flyby. I think it's funny how some idiots driving Infiniti cars are in denial that they drive a souped-up Nissan.

Sounds like a ricer flyby to me. You stopped racing, he kept going. I suggest you just follow him without getting too close in the future and then try and line them up. Most ricers will continue to accelerate if you stick too close behind them, thinking you're going to do some queer highway traffic dodging or something.

it is possible he may have been heading through traffic to look for a clearing to race, but chances are it was a ricer move given the rush hour traffic.

here's a textbook flyby for you...

my buddy told me about a race he won in his 1998 saturn sl that i sold him. it has over 225k miles on it. it is bone stock with a 1.9 liter 100hp engine.
the other day, he said he did a burnout at a stoplight next to a 2003-2004 toyota scion tc (200hp car). the scion gave chase and put a car on him... then the saturn just started pulling on the scion pretty hard and my buddy says he had about 4-5 lengths on the scion.

So it is a flyby if they keep going after you stop? Just trying to get my word choice correct

Regardless it's pretty stupid.

Sounds like a fly-by to me.

I had 2 kids in a RSX w/ a muffler on it pace me on a 40 MPH 4 lane road last summer trying to egg me on...when the driver realized I wasn't going to waste my gas on them, he sped up and ran a red light I quickly stopped at. As they blew through the red light, they switched lanes in front of me (I was first iin line at the redlight) and threw on the hazards, lol.

My policy is that once one car stops trying, the race is over. Anything after that is pretty irrelevant.

This. Car A hits brakes, car B needs to as well. If car A is in the lead (and no catching up by car B), and hits the brakes, but car B continues on...Flyby.

lol, i was taking off at a light leaving a car show, casual take off, shifted at like 3K and then out of no where the mustang next to me takes off, and i again shift at 3K rpm into 3rd... he flashed his hazards and made the first turn before i got next to him

i hate it when people think they raced an ls1 and won, its like an oxymoron
