Default Catfish vs Shark (1970 mach 1)

99 z28: exhaust, Lid, A 4
1970 mach 1: Fully restored,at least exhaust ,Stick

PRE:So on the way to a car show i pull up to a light when a red mach 1 pulls up next to me so i figured maybe a good race. i dont ever start races but u know mustangs gotta prove there "fast". He revs at me. My girl looks over and say i like the front looks like a "shark".......-__- .... Now its on....

Race: I forget ASR on so on green i get the hit...first goes up to 3000 before it automaticly kicks into 2nd (tcs)... i am about car and half when i get traction and i here a screech from my little 245's griping the pavement... i start pulling so bad after 55 i was like 4,5 cars easy i brought it up to 100 but he gave up as soon i got traction and started to walk away..

I Know i know i dont hate mustangs i really liked this one, best year for them IMO, Just u know guys when ur girl does that u gotta play.....

Good kill but the other car has a lot more cool factor. He beat you sitting at the light for anyone that saw you two sitting there. Our cars might be faster than most of the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's but we get smoked in the cool factor. I'm sure you are aware of that though.

It might look like a whale shark lol. Good kill, but the 69 is better looking IMO.

Nice kill. The older, stockish muscle cars really aren't too quick. My '70 'cuda is all stock. 340 small block. Compared to standards today, it handles like a tank. It does have some get up and go, but nothing to compare to a 4v or LSx. Eh, maybe one day I'll modernize it.

Back in the day I had a brand new 1971 351 Boss mustang, it cost $3800. Ran 13.5 showroom stock, got about 10 mpg and did not have A/C. Fast forward to 2000 and brand new showroom stock Camaro SS runs 13.5, gets 25 mpg riding home with the A/C on. Sure wish I still had that mustang though.

And a 13.5 was about as quick as it got back then for stock. Then again a 4th gen would run 15's on skinny goodyear bias plys and a truck suspension.
