Like I said, cam ONLY.............the car prolly weighs 3000lbs or less and I promise you it doesn't have JUST a cam.

Good kill, but there was something wrong with that car. I have a friend w/ an 00 Gt. (not a cobra) He has a procharger, flowmasters, and an offroad h-pipe and he put down 378rwhp @ 8psi.

So what is wrong with an ls1 at 3000lbs? Notchbacks weigh right around that and they still are slow. He probably does have more than just a cam,

like headers, intake, good rear, and a tune.

But NO HEADS and no POWER ADDER.

Ls1's can run fast at full weight, see sig,

but when stripped down to mustang raceweights, they can run REALLY fast, and they don't need ANY power adders.

Bye the way, quoting peak hp numbers on a centri blown car means nothing. Because they don't build any power till redline, and have not much down low due to the blower needing to spool up with revs and the drag itself of spinning the blower at low revs, they don't exactly have the greatest "area under the curve" dyno sheets.

[/me sheepishly raises hand]

Mustangs don't necessarily need a power adder to run fast either.

ross87t,
I don't know what else was done to his car, he just said Procharger. Maybe he still had stock gearing too, that may have hurt him a little. With my mods, I would think I would be in the 380-390hp range before tuning. Also I do have all the free mods and !spare and back seats if that helps.

Nothing is wrong with it, just that you said cam ONLY. Weight reduction is serious drop in ET so tp say a car ran a 10 with only a cam is ludicrous.

It is physically impossible for me to drive my car and not floor it. I have tried many times. I will always end up getting on it and I won't realize what I have done until it is too late.

Chris, not trying to start a war, but I never said I was cam only. I said see sig for mods.
Plus I don't think that 45-50lbs of weight removal helped me that much when I weigh around 240lbs and had the wind resistance with the tops out and windows down.

Bob, thanks man I doubt half the people believe you run those ET's.. just like many dont think some SI LS1's run mid 11's either since its H/C or PA cars running only 12's

i doubt that stang would run 13's probably at the track since the owner more than likely doesnt know wtf he's doing

but like you said, it sure as hell doesnt take a PA to run fast. You and ol wilwaxu both suck LMAO

Nice kill. I can't really contest it because I haven't seen too many blown Cobras, but I do know they had a lot of motor problems. Plus, you don't know how much he was boosting.

Seems like a pretty legit kill to me. Don't forget that he's got a cam and dyno'd 350 rwhp before it. Sounds pretty believable to me. Nice kill
