2 trans ams vs rice So me and my buddy decide to go to the track on a friday just to see what our cars can do. He has a 93 trans am all stock and i have an 02 ws6 all stock. so were going down the freeway when all the sudden the traffic is slowing down in the left lane. Well we move to right lane as it is moving slightly faster. after about 2minutes in the right lane we see the problem,3 ricers poking *** along in the passing lane.well we eventually make it up beside them. They then decide to rev their fart cans at us. MY friend gives the 1st burner 3 honks gives him a little head start and blows his doors off puts buses on him.The ricer then thinks it to be a good idea and mess with me. he honks and i give him a good 2-3car lead hes banging the gears thinking he has i put the peddle down about half way(i have an A4). i creep up beside him then once i get by his door put it to the floor and put bus lengthes on him.After all that we tried to get them to go again they refused and stayed behind us the rest of the way to the track lmao 1st race i have had since i got my car it was funny. Not saying it was fair but it sure was fun

so... I see you left out what times you ran: how'd you do? 
sucky times ehh? first time to the track is always that way.
I just got yet another reality check yesterday when I only ran a best of 12.9 @ 108 with a 1.9 60'. DA was high though, so I dont feel too bad: corrects out ot a 12.6 @ 110. What was your times?

13.6 104.88mph 2.2 60ft worn out street tires first run i stomped it and it spun bad so i just eased into off the line not bad for an A4 i didnt think, 3.23 gears ill get some tires and a few bolt ons then take it back see what she does. my friend didnt run

Out of 6 '03-'04 Cobras (all at least pullied/LT's) only one broke into the 11's: guy running 410rwhp (lowest claimed rwhp in the group) with a 9" Ford rear with 4.11's and blazed a 1.5 60' time without even warming his DR's up.
Ironically enough the honda tuner crowd was there and putting down mid 11's in the 115-118mph range, while the Cobra's were 118-125mph and in the 12's.

I think mustang owners are as bad as ricers. Back when I drove my 3000GT VR-4, mustangs and ricers alike would try and take me on time and time again. I never had the chance to race an F-Body, but now it doesn't matter since I own one!
Maybe to clarify the little rice VS muscle debate... I've had both, 2 Eclipses and my VR-4 and now have a Trans Am. Imports weigh less, but have a downfall of $ to HP and HP gains from mods. Muscle Cars have TONS of weight, but put down solid torque numbers. I know when I was with the ricer crowd, they were all about squeezing every little bit out of their cars, where as muscle just tends to say "yup, the motors big enough"

aren't vr-4's and f-bodys around the same weight?

To the OP, great runs, always funny to let those guys think they have a chance. I remember two of my ricer buddies (both 1.6l civics) wanted to race each other and asked me to follow to declare a winner, they were going at it fast&furious and got passed by a V6 camry. It was priceless.
