I'm fully aware of what a pulley'd Cobra will do. Here's the list from
SVTperformance. I'm also well aware of what a cam only LS1 can do.
Just stating my opinion based upon my personal experience with both
cars.

THE UNPORTED/UPPER PULLEY CREW:
Almo.........................10.84 @ 129.38 w/ 1.69 (6spd/SRA) (2.76)
04yellowcobra.............10.92 @ 126.23 w/ 1.52 (6spd/SRA) (2.80)
C MY 4D.....................11.14 @ 124.36 w/ 1.65 (6 spd/SRA) (2.80)
sonic03snake..............11.16 @ 125.08 w/ 1.56 (6 spd/SRA) (unpullied!)
Venimus03.................11.16 @ 121.59 w/ 1.57 (6 spd/IRS) (2.76)
unit213...................11.29 @ 121.?? w/ 1.?? (6 spd/IRS) (2.76)
F8LBITE.....................11.30 @ 124.55 w/ 1.60 (6 spd/IRS) (2.80)
Johnny Lightning.........11.32 @ 123.?? w/ 1.?? (6 spd/IRS) (2.81)
Smacked_in_ATL.........11.43 @ 120.50 w/ 1.56 (6 spd/SRA) (2.80)

Unit- You are missing are point here. I am sorry but I disagree very strongly about the average Cam only car running 10.80's. Like I said Not to many people run around in fully gutted street cars with NOTHIN in them but a seat, 4:56 gears slicks and skinnies and 5K Stall converter. Is there LS-1 cam only cars out there that fast? YES! BTW- We have been talking about rolls here not digs? I run a 2.65 upper....not to many people run my setup. Not being a jerk but how fast is your car?

The average cam car is no where effin close to 10.99. The average H/C car is not 10.99.

Apples to apples pullied cobras are faster than cam only ls1's.

Are their some very fast cam cars? Sure are. I ran VERY close to your time unit with a cam only setup. But again. Pullied cars are still going to win a majority of the races on the street. The weight and IRS are less of an issue and and the driver is less important in a roots blower than a big cam 346 motor.

And I have beaten 2 pullied cars with my car. And a ported cobra with me on the bottle. So we know which side i'm on.

Good run OP

Mine is 3,650 with me in it. I need a K-member and a-arms badly.

ok a few things....

OP - how did you know he was pullied? not being picky, just askin'.

Are you guys (unit in particular) serious that cam only LS1s in full street trim run high 10s/low 11s all the time?

and finally......

HCI lsx's and pullied/ported cobra's are both stout cars IMO.

Do me a favor please. Show me where I said "average" cam car. Thanks.
I said it's easy to get a cam only LS1 into the 10's for people in the know.

A ported Eaton Cobra is NOT a pulley'd Cobra. Big difference. There is no
way in hell a pulley'd Cobra can run a 9. Period. Yeah...I know Jake run's 9's...
and it's damned near a race car...solid axle, auto, super light weight, etc.

Me too. Apparently you haven't run into any strong LS1's. 10.80's are
easy in a cam only LS1. You're not running 10's.
jakes car is a race car. no heat,no a/c race brakes narrowed rear the whole 9 yards hell if the thing had a shoot mount and a good blower on it the car would probably be able to run 8.50 index class. the car cant be driven long distances on the street because it no longer has a heat exchanger in it and the i/c water starts to boil. for what its worth jakes car without the ported blower would still go mid-low 10's at close to 130.

Yay I'm not the only one who is beating pullied cobras. To some people, they cannot be beaten by a cam only ls1. Especially one like mine that only made 385/360

Then the Cobra owners couldn't drive if you're making that power AND you're trapping 115mph. I do believe and I've seen some cam only LS1's beat pullied Cobra's, but that's not the norm.

Its going to take more than 115mph trap speed to beat a pullied Cobra. Especially from a roll.
