I shift at 6,500.
I have only seen 118 out of it but it does do 3 more mph then that in the 1/8th mile then when it ran 118 so it's probably about that speed.

Actually I've been on this forum since about 2006. Figured I'd become active on these forums again. As far as your contest, i'm just responding. I've been involved in all 3 of these races, and y'all want to bash everything from the cars to the drivers and even the location. Op posts s video and people start telling him his cars slow, talking how fast "they" are. Y'all aren't impressed with a cammed C6, I'm not impressed with 657 rwhp. Problem is We'll never be able to line them up so this is like debating with a wall. As for the rest of us " dumb cowboys" including the OP. Well see you guys thursday.

I didn't see anyone say they weren't impressed. Especially with the C6. The bashing that I saw (my perception) was 'left over' from mongoose and his **** talking from before this race. If you arne' familiar with it, search his name.

I also like the guys S197. THose things are nice blown especially with a Saleen TS. We merely have a difference of opinino on what's safe with the stock internals on a DD. That's all.

As for TRmach1..........I know him from the registry and svtp. I have no doubt he respects other cars. Maybe I misunderstood his post, but I took it as nothing more than good fun humor. Where it changed is when an obviously slower, less powered Fbod turned into something. But again, that's my perception.

also for the guys saying he shouldve beaten them worse, notice he put heavier wheels on the car, as well as some sloppy shifting

Go back and read my posts...most can probably tell I was posting in good humor too. But saying a 475rwhp fbody with a 200 shot is "obviously slower" isn't accurate...It might be, It might not....

I have also been a part of every single race in this thread. That's why I was posting.... Ya'll take this stuff too serious.... =)

I'm a roundy rounder anyway...Dirt track racing FTW!

BTW, I'll try to be included in the vids @ next week's meet so ya'll can see that I'm not just forum talk...

Should make for interesting video as there's always a chance a rod could come through the hood. =)

And as far as the three cars in the original post, they are all sweet rides. All three perform better than average cars with similar mods IMO.

I want to understand the logic of people saying my car doesn't make what I claim.

2009 Z51 C6 weighs:
3250 + me (240) = close to 3500 lb race weight.
The mach1 with driver was around 3600.

That and in the heat 487 vs 467.. for some reason I should put bus lengths on him?

487 dyno @21CMC dynojet 103 intake temp:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...m-results.html

Same exact mods. Different dyno. 495rwhp dyno @LG 63 degree day:

Point is a 490 rwhp vette is an upper 120 mph car. What did the mustang trap, a car that traps 10 mph higher will easily walk away from another car in a roll.

I trapped 95 in the 1/8th which I think is 125/124'ish 1/4.

What did the mustang trap? Vettes usually gain 25-29 mph on the back half. I'd guess you'd trap 122-124 mph. Which would not be a realistic figure for a 490 rwhp vette at a sea level track with good air. But, there are also many other factors, what elevation is your track and what density altitude you ran in can make a major difference in et / mph.

I guess these guys are slow too:

Vengence cammed C6 11.65 @124:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj7ypWPOmKY&NR=1

Cammed C6 11.5 @ 123
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWJ9RQBhB3g

Track I went to was Elevation: 645 feet
DA was: 800-1200
So I do not think either made a huge factor. If I hooked better I may see an extra mph or 2.

First car is the vengeance stage II LS3 which is not a 490 rwhp setup. Other car I do not know the cam and that car ran in 97 degree heat. Look up the venegeance stage II, it an auto it put down 440 or so ? I'm not saying your car is slow or anything, you asked why people would question your 490 rwhp. Apples to apples man, with 495 rwhp and with that DA at your elevation you should be 126 + mph

Vengeance stage II LS3 473 rwhp. You have 20 more hp so you should be faster than that other car. https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...idle-clip.html

Well I don't see the point in inflating my #'s. Dynos are legit not photoshop. My car has 126+ in it I am sure. Just not at the track I went to.. couldn't hook.
