Default 01 z28 Camaro vs 06 Supercharged F-150

Picked up a friend in So Po heading to Old Orchard Beach to check out the girls in my camaro. Soon after picking him up two lanes turned into one; this is where a Ford F-150 blows past me merging in front of me. Neither me nor my friend saw it coming. When he passed me, all we could hear was a mean whine from what had to be a supercharger. Saw a 2 gauges in the a-pillar also when he passed me.

Well. After following for 3 miles through a few red lights. The road opened up to two lane traffic where we were able to line up. First race was from a 40 roll with me getting the jump. I pulled 1.5 cars on him til 80 when I let up.

We lined them up again at around 35 this time with him getting the jump. He pulled about a 1/4 of a car on me when I stopped the pull and put a car on him shutting down at around 70ish.

3rd time we lined up again around 30. This time I let him get a big jump, He pulled a full car on me when I stopped his pull and put a car on him to 90.

We pulled over up the street where we looked over eachothers cars. Turns out he sent his F-150 to Roush where he had their supercharger installed with a 3.5 inch pulling running 9 lbs of boost at 416 rwhp / 456 rwtq.

On a side note it turns out to be a real small world. His room mate shows up a minute after and was the guy who had a 03 roush mustang that ran my firebird and smoked me. Funny thing is I was able to talk to the kid that day in November about how he was lucky I didn't have my Camaro out to give him a run for his money.

Turns out he sold the Roush in favor for a pullied 04' cobra and wants to run me sometime now. I laughed, told him I'm down anytime but he'll probably smoke me. The guy with the F-150 was real cool about everything and told his roommate he lost all 3 races. Over all I had a great time and was real surprised by his sleeper f-150.

Good races! Sure is a small world, aint it? Or maybe it's just that there arent that many car guys left out there. Between the internet (games & ****) and the perfection of microbrews there just arent that many of us left out on the road anymore!

Headers, suspension, intake and a 4k stall. Pretty basic but the previous owner ran a best of 12.01@112 with a 1.61 60ft. I'll be taking her to the track soon to see what I can run with a new set of MT's, I'm hoping for a 11.99@112 pass

Is it just me or do those times seem a little bit too quick for the mods? Or does a stall really take a ~second off of the ET?

Its a stripper model. No auto locks/windows/cruise control. 275 Mt drag radials. Weighs in around 3300 lbs, 3.23 gears, lsd, msd wires, bilstein shocks, eibach stprings. Intake, Longtubes ORY, SLP exhaust. Dyno tuned at 344hp/350tq. And yes, a 4k stall will take a second off a ET.

There is your answer. A stall really wakes up an A4, I would be very surprised if a stall cut less than .5 seconds off ET.

Right on man, I am planning a stall in the future, i just didnt know they were that effective. I suppose the suspension and drag radials combined with the stall gives you a mean launch.

Nice kill. I used to play at Old Orchard Beach all the time. Mr Goodbar's and some other place on the shore side of the street with a big patio out back on the beach.

If you run that Cobra, go from a dig and pray he can't drive!
