I run at gulfport. So, 110-112 is the norm, which I said ~110, I don't see a discrepancy. This car trapped 109, and seeing a 96-98 cobra with bolt ons trap higher than that is fairly common. I'm still failing to see the problem.

Nope, as legit as it gets. My car went from 102 to 108 with bolt ons, most autos in this area trap that, with most m6's trapping a few higher. Local track is a sea level with ok DA, and 96-98 cobras in this area trap ~110. I don't see why you're having such a hard time believing the argument when there are so many examples

The problem im having is trying to imagine a car that normally traps 100-102 mph stock, gain 8-10 mph with just bolt-ons? That's the dillema i'm having, and you say it's common where you race at. I say it's ba-lo-ney.

And if we are talking about weight reduction look at what these Bolt-on only LS1's are trapping. A few of these cars are virtually at full weight and trapping around 115.

Since were talking lighter-than-stock vehicles lets refer to the 'Quickest Stock Internal' list above to use as a comparison. Where some of the bolt-on cars are trapping anywhere from 116-122. Now do you still think a bolt-on 4-valve vs bolt-on ls1 is a toss up?

And I own a Mustang so the whole redneck trash mobile doesn't apply to me. I drive a 15 year old girl's car.

If I ever see the cobra I ran, I will stop and find out what he had done to it. and update this thread. I still think he had some kind of power adder or alil head and cam work done. I just never had a problem beating that year cobras stock for stock. Just cant see that year bolt on cobra beating me without more done to the car, but who knows, every car is different. Maybe my car is just getting slower. its got less than 60,000miles on it and I dont drive it but maybe twice a month here lately.

Was in NY all last week. Froze my *** off. lol. I think I'm going to go manual and spool just to see if I can hit 120 traps. When I went 115.8, the DA on that run was 897ft. So I'm sure if it was closer to zero might have been 117. Who knows.
