I was driving the SHO. I'm going to the track tonight hoping for 12's.

The G8 is our shop car as well. It has our stage 1C (stealth) camshaft, 1 7/8" shorty headers, Corsa Exhaust, Rotofab CAI, and Livernois Dyno Tune and makes 455 RWHP. It would kill both of those cars.

The G8 runs good and driveability is great. I keep telling the owner to slap a blower on it, but I don't think that's going to happen since he daily drives it including Michigan winters.

I gotta take that SHO for a spin. It looks pretty stout!

Here's a novel idea...quit bitching about it and go buy one of the two cars and make a video yourself. This thread has nothing to do with what you posted.

Impressive but I'd take the Mustang over the SHO any day.

I wouldn't really call that 'taking out' the 5.0. it caught up to it on the backside.

having four kids, I'd take a SHO in a heart beat....performance and room. can't beat it!!.

Love the Mustang in that color! Can't say I'm crazy about the looks of the SHO, but I do like the performance potential.

im not gonna be an *** in this reply since i just reread my post and i can see how easily it can be misconstrued (sic.?) but i meant that the 2010 Camaro is lighter than the G8 GXP

of course youre disappointed, the new mustang with just minor mods (less than what you got done) is faster than your car.

I get the spirit of his post though.

$33k for a new Mustang GT + tax, lic, etc + cost of mods to go about as fast or barely faster than a bolt-on LS1?

No thanks.

If I was in the market for a car right now, and if I was on a budget, it would be used LS1 F-body all the way.

If I could spend a little more, used C5Z06 or Terminator.

And if I had the ~$35k total out-the-door cost of the Mustang burning a hole in my pocket? I'd wait 6-12 months, save up another $5k, and get a used low-mileage C6Z06 for $40k. There is just something about a Z06

That SHO is badass. I can tell that this new turbo engine is going to be really fun when fully modded!

..this G8 is the awesomeness in the sound department!!!

You dont know what his car run and we dont know for sure what the 5.0l is truly capable of; we only have minor data on it. Dont be so sure. Ok theres that ''bolton'' GT doing 11s@118. And OK we have that stock LS1 busting his *** in stock form...

Since when do we have a stock ls1 car trapping 118 or running 11's?

Nice cars. You could own two really nicely modded f-bodies for the cost of one of those.
I think our money is well spent people, I wouldn't be concerned.

The "problem" with that is that you'll have two modified fbodies instead of one very comfortable car with lots of technology and creature comforts. Bang for the buck
doesn't always mean horsepower.
