so i hadnt driven my car in a couple of months because of work. ive lost touch with the car world for a bit. any ways im driving around for a while and see a blue mustang. i catch up on the freeway at about 40 mph. look over it says 5.0 what the hell!! i think its not real throw a rev at it. he revs back and out comes a really mean sounding deep rev in shock i drop to 30 mph i honk it off ...1 honk 2honk ...boom he takes off i floor it he has half a car on me i start gaining back ground by 60 were dead even then i start slowly walking away by 90mph we shut down at 135mph with me 3 cars out....talked to the guy after really cool guy. shows me his car pops the hood and it says 5.0. i was in aww he schools me and says it came out with 400hp hes a 6 speed first time ive seen a six speed in a stang stock!! it had exaust and intake he said......by the way im on my 373s now

Good kill. Did you ask him what he dynoed if he had it dyoned. I want to run one, over here they 75% v6 and the others don't want to run them. the scoop is mostly hype but they did make them faster, 4.6 would have been 3 buses. To me I like the front ends, they just fucked the ***.

Me too, The front end looks good, but the rear end is ugly as ****!! I think the '11 front end with a 05-09 rear end with the 5.0L would be bad ***!!!

i agree the front looks sick .....that *** looks kinda....anyways it wasnt tuned he said all he had done... i was surprised because my car pulls ******* hard up to 130mph and i couldnt pull him as hard as i wanted too....i got a 150 shot im installing soon for a run at a cobra i owe alittle payback to

Good run man, those cars should be in the 12.5-12.7 range @ 110-111mph once people get used to them. You got any track times?

to be completely honest i know they have good power but it seemed faster then it should of been from the power weight ratio idea of it i had kinda weird that thing pulled hard from the top end .....just not hard enough

according to all the mustang owner chatter, tune + cai+ exhaust+ DR's makes a high 11 second 5.0 GT running ?117mph? or something like that.

don't count your mustangs until they hatch: that has yet to be verified by ANYONE so far except some tuner's claim. Your race is actually the first one that makes the 5.0 look like anywhere near the hype: last ones were a bone stock LS1 camaro slowly walking a brand new 5.0 *(mustang had a 250lb passenger), then another Livernois video where there 13.1 second tuned Ford SHO goes neck n neck with the livernois 5.0 stock so far mule car.

They just came out. there's literally minimal on the streets. They haven't even started selling them in my area to my knowledge.

and FYI, they dont' weigh much more than fbods. ~3500.

The 11.65@119 runs were proved on video. Keep in mind this car is running at Atco and is being worked on by Evolution Performance and that is with tuning, bolt ons, suspension, and slicks. Out of the box it is supposed to be good for 12.7@111mph

There's some incorrect info in there. The Livernois SHO had never even been to the track when they made that vid racing the 5.0. Rick from Livernois was supposed to go to the track today with it.
