Just a few runs betweeen me and a buddy to see how the bolt-on LS1 would fair against my car with the new motor.

Machined face deep dish C5's. 18x10.5's on all 4 corners. They're actually on the Camaro in the vid, now. I traded them for his Ruff Racing 278's a couple weeks ago, because I didn't want to pay to replace the 335 DR's on them, and the Ruff's had new tires and looked awesome on my car. lol

Yeah, now that I got everything straightened out. I ran him last night and lost by 1.5 cars on a 70-150 roll. I was ready to sell the T/A, until I found out what the problem was. The crankcase vent hose going from the TB to the valve cover was routed wrong, and keeping the TB blade from openning any more than ~50%. So, I fixed it and texted him for a rematch, without telling him what I had found. lol

Me and a few buddies did it all. Bought the shortblock already assembled. But, we did the rest. It was the first time any of us had done a motor in a 4th gen, and suprisingly, we had it done pretty quickly, once I finally got all the parts rounded up and ready to go.

assinator: you do realize that first gen CTS-V's do not have LS2's, right? They have LS6's straight out of the C5 Z06 vettes. L92 heads aint gonna work on a LS1/LS6 FYI.

Their the O.E wheels right? Do the 10.5 have to fit in with any modification or they just fit in normal.

Yeah, they're OEWheels. They fit on my Camaro and the Camaro in the vid with just BFH'ing. I had to run a spacer, BFH, and roll the fender lips on the T/A to run them. That's what I get for shoving big *** 335's under it though.

I had to run a tiny spacer on the front, to keep the wheels from hitting the spindles, because the 18x10.5's weren't made to be used on the front. But, no other modification was needed.

haha. Yeah, I'm very happy with the decision to go 6.0. Mostly because of the L92 heads. They're cheap, and flow like crazy without any work done to them. Can't really beat brand new heads, that flow ~320cfm, for $650 shipped to my door. lol. I can't wait to get it dynotuned and find out what it's making. I just scheduled an appointment with Speed Inc yesterday for June 15th.
