2005 GSXR 750 vs H/C LS3 Camaro SS with a Turbo 350 with VIDEO
Ok, so last night a buddy of mine with a Camaro SS with a LY6 block bored out to LS3 specs, ported LS3 heads, G6X3 cam, turbo 350 trans, 3.23 gears, longtubes, true duals, dynotune, etc ran my friend's 05 GSXR 750 with a Yoshi slipon and Power Commander. Essentially, the Camaro is a H/C ironblock LS3. It pulls HARD.
I ran the silver SS in my Z28 (without nitrous) and lost by about 2 cars from 40-120 (i made an earlier thread about it if you want to look it up). I ride with my friend on his 750 a lot and he's a good rider. He's only weighs 135lbs and rides pretty much everyday. I put a couple buslengths on his 750 with mine (mine's heavily modded) from 40-140, therefore, we knew he'd be a closer match for the Camaro then my bike.
I put this video together and it was the first time I ever made a video and actually edited it, etc. All scenes were recorded with my Blackberry so theyre not the best quality, and Im not the best at editing, obviously, so dont expect anything great. The bike actually did better than I thought. I thought it'd be a little closer. From 70-140 or so i think the Camaro wouldve pulled even, though. He always slowed his pull/stopped his pull once it got to triple digits.
Ill be racing the 750 with the 200 shot soon and think ill do quite a bit better than the silver SS. We shall see i suppose.
Anyways, on the the video!

very short runs. Traction an issue with the camaro? Got to get a longer race IMO. That LS3 camaro sure as hell rolls out though. Whats it make with that carb on there? I heard the carb route is worth another 25+rwhp: which should put that thing right around the 500 mark. ??

Yea he doesn't have a carb. He used to have a straight elbow coming down to a lid but took that off and put a filter on top. It looks old school. He has a SS hood so it goes right to the round intake.
He hasnt taken it to the 1/4 yet but with traction it's easily a LOW 11 possibly high ten car.
Traction wasnt an issue because he has good tires and was dead hooking from those roll speeds. We tried to get a longer roll with it getting higher in speeds but wed come up on cars or a slight bend in the interstate so we could never seem to get any further.

this isnt directed to the OP but music and walkarounds are getting tooooo long in general... i just watched another video that was like 2 minutes of the same picture at different angles. crazy.... oh and death metal is always a edgy choice haha

Cool vid. Ya music is always personal can't please everyone. I got a few runs of my 388 lt4 in my vette running my own modded 04 750 (full ti exhaust, bmc filter, yosh ECM and dynotuned, light wheels and lighter chain/sprockets stock gearing). Was really fun and wAs able to outpull my bike from 85-90 mph and up but just barely.

Only thingi wanted to add is the speeds you guys run all favor the bike. In that last run he was probably in 2nd and once the rpms picked up then started to pull like he should. It's a little hairy at high speeds but one if my runs is from about 120 km /h&r to about 275. It's really the only way to tell how you can pull a bike. At lower speeds it's all about hp/lb and a car needs traction and about 800 rwhp to make the bike look in his side view.

not a video for me.. way too many variables..like rider.. and such.. there is no way a car should be hanging like that.. don't 1000's run like 9.80's so 750 should be like low 10's
