Thumbs up 281 vs. GT vert ...interesting outcome

hey guys ...havent posted a kill here in a while since i got me some cobra rear brakes ..and im workin on the fronts ..anyways so im driving to work this morning on the 101 s bound ......and asim getting on the onramp i see thise gt in my rear view coming FAST... so as i usaully do every moring to wake her up i go wot onto the freeway and slip in behind him in fourth at about 3k or so ....so i can tell he wants some ....remember im behind him ..i see him hit it and some smoke comes out of the tails and i follow suit by just going wot in fourth ...(already too high to downshift ) im keeping on this verts *** well past 100 ..he never got a car length lets put it that way ..it was close lets put it that way ...so we slow down due to traffic and we both throw up a peace sign and roll the windows down ...were at freeway speed so i yell! you got gears in that thing!>? he responds with "no its blown !" me laughing in my head ..he asks "whats in that thing?" i say " gt with gears and exhaust " him" no power adder?!!!?" he was shocked and we went on our ways ....do people really not know how to mod their cars ? because if a measly GT with gears and exhaust kept on my *** in a blown gt ..man id be freakin pissed ...i now see why you guys find so many mustang kills ...even the blown cars are as slow as the bolt on cars !!? what gives? am i the only smart one here ? besides unit and that one dude justin i think with the yellow cobra? ill keep on my quest for my little project 2v monster ..i think its coming along nicely from the outcome of this race

A vert is going to be slower. More weight to make up for missing the top.

350-400 rwhp n/a? out of a 281? Ha, I doubt that. My buddy has a 96 281 with 99 pi heads and he didn't even put down 300 after a tune. He has all your mods plus some, it was tuned at Kauffmann motorsports. Before the tune it ran 14.0 @ 104. I think, from overhearing my buddy talk about his car, you're going to need a blower or nitrous to hit those numbers. Good luck though haha

Lol! Okay, meet up with me in two years. I personally guarantee I'll be in 10s, if not 9s. Your a ******' riot, kid. It's amazing how many times you've been flamed and you still keep comin' back for more... what a little cocky son of a bitch.

No ****. I used to own a vert, it was slower than slow. But all I'm saying it, no way in hell a Stang that traps 100 mph flat is gonna walk a blown stang of the same year, i don't care if it's a vert or not. Something is wrong here. I mean, we know this kid's car isn't a freak- Blownchevy ruined him a while back on the street when he was runnin 13.2s. That's why I said the blown vert had to be pretty damn slow, if it was even blown at all.

Who cares how many horses your car is putting to the wheels if you can only run a 14.4 @ 100mph??? It's not like your a bad driver or anything, that's just a slow trap and a high e/t.

People are making like 320rwhp, but they are stroked. No one cares about a POS 281. Get real kid. You can dream all you want, but don't waste this space with the babble. Go back to stangnet.

How do we have 50 choices? I only know of AFR who makes aftermarket heads for us.

It is not your fault. Ford made your car to be show and no go. If Ford was serious they would have dropped a 5.4 in your car. Your stang is fine at what it was designed to be, a pony car. Our LS1's are fine at what they were designed to be, musclecars.

Get an LS1 and you can get those kind of numbers a lot easier and the car will probablly be a lot more streetable too.

yeah, found any performance info on those AFRs yet? I'm anxious to know if they're worth a damn over ported ls6 heads.

maybe he's thinking of 5.0 engines, which really do have like 20 or 25 different heads available for it.

I'm not sure. I haven't looked into them at all since i'm not at the internal engine stage of my car When I had my 93 GT, I was going to go with a set of AFR 165's for a 306 buildup I was planning. I said screw it and got my Z instead
