Default Needing your opinion.

I have a buddy that has a 06 Mustang GT. I have 06 GTO. The frist race was me being stock and him having C.A.I, off road x, bassani axleback, not cat's, programmer. I lost by about 1 to 1 1/2 car 40-130.

The next time we raced i had C.A.I and exhaust. I beat him by 2 to 3 cars from any roll he wanted to race from.

Know he wants to race, he has headers know. I have a custom tune, built tranny with 3000 stall, not cat's, custom exhaust, and weight reduction.

Do Headers real add that much hp to mustand gt's.

I am going to race, just need to see if money can come in to the pic for me.

i was stock and he had mods the first time that is the only thing i can thank of.

A bolt on 3v can run real hard... i dunno what you guys have a seen.

You should walk hard on any bolton/geared pre 2011 GT with your full exhaust/bolton GTO. Even with just CAI/tune/catback I walked out hard on full bolton 05+ GT's. Hell, I even slow walked a supercharged/catback Bullitt! (3 times from a 60-65 to 100-120. He wasnt happy when I told him I was basically stock)

You guys are racing the wrong drivers in all these "full" bolt on 3 valves me thinks. My bone stock shelby GT with a whopping 284 WHP only lost by about 1.5 - 2 cars to an intake, longtube, catback, tune 06 GTO. And I have 3.55 gears. My brothers roush supercharged stang laid a whooping on the same GTO at 6 PSI.

I'm no mustang fan boy by any means but 3 valves run good for what they are. A "full" bolt on (headers, exhaust, intake, X-pipe, tune, gears) 3 valve is a mid-maybe even low 12 second car and should do 320-330 whp.

And to the OP, I think your GTO should beat him with your mods. Especially being stalled.
