Sorry... Personally these are my favorites of a close race vs a Camaro

Seans got a pretty fast car and knows how to drive. I've talked with him via pm's and threads back when I had my subaru.
Very well put together car and like I said, the man knows how to drive! He's still on the stock turbo which is a pee shooter and runs out of breath past 5k rpms but as you can tell, it puts up one helluva fight.
Too bad it's wrecked now.

Thanks and yeah I did. Awesome car.
It's not really my story to tell but, from what I remember, he hit a wall on the freeway due to another driver. Totaled the car but was ok. Motor and trans are fine but the body just looked like ****.

I'd hope 340whp would be better than mid-high 12s. All the Subaru guys i know here have the Cobb accessport. They read off at about 340 or so bhp from this device. Many are not familiar with whp. When I tell them my trans am only makes 340 rwhp, they tend to think it's not even a challenge for them because they think their lighter 6 speed awd cars are making the same. After I pull them, they believe I'm making much more or spraying. And everyone at work swears my sti would beat my fbody, despite most of them never being in either.

AWD drivelines takes a beating from a dig. That's the only reason I save those sub 4s 0-60 for something worthy. My STi wasn't built for drag racing, plain and simple. It does the DD function perfectly because I can drive the way I want on any roads.
In fact, I have no problem taking my mudflapped station wagon through gravel, dirt roads, construction zones, between traffic barrels, on the shoulder, or anywhere else I have to go.
For a general idea about what a BPU STi runs, a stock 300bhp tends to put out about 230-240awhp. With less than a grand (intake, ebay downpipe, and good tune), my car does 310awhp/340awtq and IMHO that's pretty good territory with a stock catback and safe tune.

Subarus are just great cars all around. Like you said, for under a thousand you can get a pretty damn good gain, and keep driveability. My 2nd to last car was a 2004 wrx wagon. It ran pretty decent stock. But a eBay srs catback, and an invidia v2 dp + stage 2 tune from Cobb, woke that bad boy right up.

Eh, that's lt1 range. Which isn't too bad for a car that had no intentions of being just a straight line car. They tend to be more fun if you're into the twisties.

Not as much as saying it on a Subaru forum. I'm looking for a terminator to replace my sti one day. I don't bother with Subaru forums as you can imagine who visits there... Subaru owners. Ew.
I'm debating whether to go equal length headers, up pipe, and dyno tune or to just get rid of her.

Yep, but do you see what I did there? And why you might not want to come on so strong next time? WRX is ~$25k and runs low-mid 14s @ 95mph. 370Z is ~$29k and runs low-mid 13s @ 105mph. But somehow the 370Z is overpriced and slow, and the WRX is a great car? That's where your opinion contradicted fact. Now there's nothing wrong with having unfounded opinions, as long as you can admit that they don't make sense. Like I love LT4 Corvettes, and I would probably get one over a '97 LS1 Vette. But I know that the C5 is a better car... I just like C4s. And I don't ride the bus, that's what friends are for
