Stock C5 beats 700hp Supra! *VIDEO*

Honestly, a 2-step would help get some boost off the line but even without it, the couldn't hook all of 1st AND 2nd. Useless power.
That's why I would rather be afraid of a 5.0 notch from a dig on tire than a single turbo supra from the hole.
Nice racing spot though....

700hp Supra running 12.80...

Another high 12's 700+whp Supra

This was about 24 seconds worth of effort. One guy has a shitty setup and some horrible tires and now all Supras are slow.
I saw a 900hp Camaro at the track running 11's, obviously in dire need of some good tires. I wonder if that means all 900hp Camaros go 11's.
One more...
Here's a real 12 second Supra. Look it needed to trap 135 to go 12's! LOL

I don't think anyone was saying all Supra's are slow. But the one in the OP's video was dog slow for 700hp. When you racing at the track its all about your set up which im sure you know. I have seen a stock C5Z06 with DR's, Suspension and gears run a 11.8 which was ******* awesome. If you don't have the proper tools to back up that HP from a Dig your *** is gonna get handed to you. Just like the Supra in the OP's video.

come on man..for every supra you just showed their are 20 more that really are running 12's..I mean your really goona post a ryan woon vid?????
we can talk about all these vids or we can talk about what most of us really run into on the street...
is the supra a bad and very capable car..sure it is...Do lots off people just throw on a bigger turbo for 700 rwhp and then have lag so bad that it's embarrasing...Yes they do..
If I ever added a supra to my stable it would have weight reduction for sub 3400 pounds and it would be a very very very quick spooling 550 rwhp set up on pump gas..
No way would I go all out on rwhp..Ive raced more of them than i can honestly remember and each time i thought they would have been much faster with less peak and faster spooling mid range

Yeah I know that But this is just one I have seen personally. And it was a normal guy driving. He has only raced a few other times at the track. All in all it was pretty rad to see it run that time with a not so experienced driver.

Im not even gonna go any further than this as I have some friends who own these cars and out of respect I will not continue on..
Just please dont act like that high HP supra getting pulled by a car with half the HP is a first..This has been discussed for years

A bolt on gen4 viper is 600 rwhp..Your SUPER-a is 600 rwhp..
Im guessing the viper jumps out three cars and you can never close the gap..They just make power so differantly..
never in my life was I so amazed as when my stock 410 rwhp 1999 Viper pulled a couple cars on a 550 rwhp supora and he wasnt able to pass me and put 2 cars on me till 130-150 mph..
Till it happenned again with my viper at 450 rwhp and my friends supra at 600 rwhp...where he pulled a car length at 140 mph
And then again in my 465 rwhp viper and friends 550 rwhp Viper ...were he ended up a half car ahead at 150 mph...
And many that im not even remembering....let alone the dig runs...
im not saying they are slow...hell over all out of those 30 runs Ive only won 10 of them..that means I got my *** handed 20 times..
but when your talking about being 100 plus rwhp down each time...Wouldnt you expect to loose by more than a car length at 140 mph...
inch or a mile..I know..I know

That's the record but in reality, probably 95% of C5 Z06's will run mid-low 12's at traps of 115-117. Most will not get into the 11's nor trap 120mph without mods. If you do then your one good driving SOB. lol

Not near as fast as your GTO but proves a point.

I have a 3rd generation Supra that does 550RWHP on pumpgas and no meth and a lot more now with meth that looks and sounds stock. Like stopsign and killemall stated I added 2 step, weight reduction(down to 3356 pounds non gutted with tire and jack in car),was not into super high RWHP numbers wanted a quick spooling turbo(JT62) and run deep mid to low 11s with drag radials and low 1.7 sixty foots. On low speed rolls you have to learn how to brake boost. Its tricky with a stick and I wish I bought an auto. I have cockpit adjustable struts which allow me to get decent weight transfer. With a stick, tall first gear and no low torque down low its a real challenge to make it move out...
Many guys who suffer from LMS and LPS buy these cars(4th gens) and make complete jackasses out of themselves racing them.
If I lost to a stock C5 I would drown myself

No matter what, when racing from a dig, there is nothing more important than the first 60 ft. Horsepower plays a large role in this of course but USING the horsepower you have, will make racing a lot easier with a lot less.
