All depends on the the driver, the setup and the turbo combinations. I went tens with less than 600rwhp easily. I ran a 6.32 1.8 mile with the same setup as well. Big turbo 6 spds are hard to launch, autos are not though. I've owned both and know how to drive both. Takes alot of practice to get a 6spd with alot of power out of the hole. Plus you need good tires. Its all in the setup.

Agreed. It isnt common knowledge that 600+rwhp supras will run high 12's...

posts like this make me smile, I have two friends with supras. One dynos 440rwhp and the other is 500rwhp e85 low boost. I've raced them both, and its kinda sad. My friend with the 440rwhp ran a 13.01@115 at the track and I beat him every time in the quarter mile. From a roll he gets maybe a car on me by 130.

My other friend with the 500rwhp supra and I raced him from a 60mph roll, I just hit it (he said i would get the go), didn't wait for him to brake boost or anything (why should i?), anyway I got two cars out and it took him till 120ish to catch up and pass me. I thought almost 200rwhp more would be quicker.

Also when they race in their supras the 500rwhp wins by a car or two. I think it has to do with smaller turbo vs large turbo power bands.

They dont make me smile..They make me laugh..The only saving grace is that their are guys that have dumped 100K into them and ran 7's and 8's...

But come on 100K..I mean with 100K what couldnt you make fast????

I give respect to the 550 ones with medium quick spooling turbos that run 11's at 125 mph...

the other big turbo ones..i mean really??? Whats to stop me from hitting the brakes or throwing on the hards while they are still a car or two back but catching up...

You know as soon as they pass you they are gonna let off..Thats because if they stay in it they will have to change gears and then go through lag again and you will catch and pass them..

so screw it...

If i ever race another one as soon as i am two plus cars ahead im just hitting the brakes..

SERIOUSLY..If your faster from 50 to 130 but the supra is faster from 130-150 then wich car is really faster????????

i much prefer fast spooling turbos or Big engine races...If one car is faster it just concistantly pulls the other..

call me old fashioned...But thats just how i feel

Brake boosting, anit lag, boost by gear, open throttle shifting, all things supras can employ to help fight the lag.

Or they can just build up to run stock twins with a bunch of other mods and have very little to no lag, idk how everyone in here seems to be able o do so great against 500rwhp supras and such.

I am willing to say it is the driver of the supra more then anything.
