flash0080 you'd have to add a lot more than just HP to show anything. Weight matters too.

What is your idea of typical? Honestly my car would annihilate a "bolt-on" '11 Mustang. Let's not even get into stroker LS1's.

A stock displacement LS1 that makes the kind of power you make with just H/C (and not a Fast96) would be pretty extreme. The majority of the H/C LS1s I see are in the 425-450rwhp range.

Even then I see 224/224 'cam only' cars run high 11's/bottom 12's. It would have to be a pretty lame H/C setup.

So according to you I'm -

1. dishonest
2. not a decent person
3. a fanboy
4. unable to properly understand to, too, and two
5. killing your character reputation
6. here with a chip on my shoulder

I'm sure you made other accusations...

Oh wait isn't that why you are so upset in the first place? Opinionated accusations are only allowable from you. huh?

LOL @ bolt on 302 CI motors making the same HP as full heads and cam 346 CI motors. Its just science, more CI makes more power, especially when modded. Come on now you know this, it's not rocket science.

Do we need to get into the science of cylinder head design, or compression ratio?

5.0s have already made 415whp with the most basic bolt ons, stock exhaust mani and intake mani. I see no reason why a full bolt on 5.0 can't do 440-450whp...and i'd call that mild head/cam LS1 territory.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. S197s were and still are a huge let down to me. I've never not liked a model of Mustang so much.
