Out with a few Supras, Racing each other and a Nitrous GTO *videos* Well I went with a few friends out to a local race meet and left my camaro at home and took the T1i out to get some race footage, so far I really like the camera.
Went to a loca area and had this 2006ish GTO auto with headers, intake, and nitrous. Guy wouldn't say the exact shot, but when he said he ran a 12.2@118 I said "It's a 150 shot isn't it" he grinned and acknowledge it. He ran a srt-4 before he raced my friend's supra. It was a 100degrees out and his bottle appeared to be heated up. My friends supra has 430ish rwhp and trapped 116 at the track when he had it only a week. So it should trap similar to the GTO. Anyway, I think the GTO had some sort of issues.

The other race is just to show my friends 500rwhp supra off against the 430rwhp one. He doesn't even wait to get even or honk just hits it and my other friend has to play catch up haha.

Sweet vids. Supras are sweet cars. I've always loved the looks and sound of them.
And that is one sorry *** GTO if he actually has a 150 shot and is running only a 12.2. I would think that should be a mid 11 car. Def something up with that thing haha.

The GTO must not have had the bottle open. On a 150 shot it should be a low 11 car. i ran a 12.7 on street tires and no nitrous. I am hoping for 11's with a 100 shot and slicks.

Look like some fun races! Love the color on that Supra.
As for the GTO, the ET's are what they are, but trapping 118 with those mods on a 150 shot is just plain bad unless the track is on top of a mountain or there was some issue.

The GTO is blue.
He might have had a 100shot, he would never fess up to what he had. He just got a weird look when I said 150shot. Anyway, Arizona isn't known for its great times and I can totally believe an auto GTO with a 150 shot trapping 118mph. The car may have been running like sh%$ but he "run what he brung."
A near empty bottle could explain it.

this.. my bottle had 2lbs in it which aint ****.. had 825psi on the bottle...its on a 125shot..
maybe we can re race with me and a full bottle..
pm me if your down..and i let off at 130mph,thats how i fall way backk
BTW. i ran 12.3 @ 117.4mph.. stock stall and stock tune..best time is 12.2..just dont got it on video..
heres the 12.3 at 117mph.. 4119 D.A..

I know that you're not saying that you don't like a certain car based on one that you saw running at the track one time, but that's what it look like

HMMM..Honestly I dont care for supras...Ithink the embarrass the rwhp scale as a 500 rwhp suprawill have it's hands full with a 400 rwhp fbody..
Then again I dont like GTO's as to me it was the slowest ugliest thing that GM ever put the LS1 in...The LS2 helped but by then the damage had already been done...
So I really just dont know how to feel about these races...I think if I ever actually see a fast GTO then my mind would change...Until then it's just internet BS to me and isnt real...

I'll let my friend know you wanna run him, he may be at the pavilions this weekend. I'm out of town this weekend, but next weekend I may be around for a run.
I hate to say it but you with a full bottle would probably be a good race for my friend in the red supra, I think the blue one would walk you pretty hard.
