my bad was confusing I thought originally it was a wrx and realized its an evo (mitsu). I have friends with both the new subs look decent I would love to drive one through a snowstorm or an actual rally but thats about it. the old evos... comon.. they look like toyota echoes (not yaris) with ford focus interiors.... just ugly inside and out.

So the car is a POS because of your opinion on the way it looks?

Oh and off topic. I would like to see more of this... 93 m6 Vette (510 rwhp 8000 rpm LT4)

Well in a nutshell ya. I raced everything and anything back in the day. I lost many races when my vette was a bolt on but it never bothered me when I lost to a pos. If i had wanted to I could have cancelled my newspaper subscription bought a $1000 civic toss in a b18 with thicker head gaskets and toss a 200 shot on it like everyone else. but wtf what a pos car to drive. looks like ****, drives like ****. sounds like ****. wtf is the point? It's just my personal opinion that I would never modify or try to make an ugly car fast. My cars have to look good, drive good, and be fast as well.. Thats why i picked an SS for a winter car

A C4 can look good but most do not. And I don't think anything can be done for the 80's interior.

But I'd love to see some pics and dyno sheet of your C5! A 8,000rpms pushrod LT4. Must sound sick!

Thanks, I deleted my post I apologize I was being rude. I got a little offended tha my car had to be dragged into this lol. My trans is a new blue tag ZF 6 speed rebuilt by Bill Boudreau at ZFDoc.com Cyro treated, laser welded syncros, Ported oil passageways and strengthened bearings and all hardware. Carbon fibre driveshaft, carbon fibre halfshafts, Brute u joints, Dana 44 w/viper 3.73s, billet axles.. clutch is a mcleod street twin, billet single mass flywheel, mcleod custom adjustable master... the list goes on...

If it was a C4 ZR1 clone it'd be sexy as hell!

My cousin Raymond mods Evos and S2000's. He used to own a C6 and an f-body. He misses the Vette and f-body.

Evo's tend to be very tempermental but if you spend 10 minutes a day checking fluids, etc. they can be very reliable cars from what I've seen. I know too many people who have modded them and don't do daily maintenance and end up with a POS car at the end of the day.

I agree that your car's look good, not a C4 fan but they're not bad.

But to knock another person's car that is tastefully modded but YOU don't think looks good is just fagtastic. If he had a retarded wing (non factory lol) or some disco lights, knock it all day, but I didn't see anything ricer or without taste on it.

If you honestly think an EVO or WRX is a "piece of ****" then you are dumber than I originally thought.

Good death.

The outcome seemed about right, the 5spd evo doesnt loose steam untill 130mph so top end isnt bad .

Good thing he didnt break boost on you.
A good brake boost can sometimes give them a 1 car lead off the rip !

Evos can be fast when done right, people just assume they are slow cause 80 % of the ones you will normaly run into have a exhaust some stick on carbon fiber parts . Which wouldnt stand a chance against a cammed ls1

Stomp the throttle and hold the car back with the brakes. Some turbos need a good load before they can spool up and build boost. A buddy of mine has an r32 with a serious turbo on it (755 rwhp) and it doesnt build boost until 4th gear lol if he stomps on if from a rolling start. It's pretty funny we laugh about it all the time. At the track he has to stomp full throttle for like 10 seconds before it even spools up to get going off the line.

Ok I didnt even get a good look at the evo in the video. I respect all people who are in the scene no matter what they drive. It's a common interest. Would I ever own a evo? no. I should be able to call it a pos if I feel like after all it's just my opinion isn't it ?

Turbo = spooled up so you're already in boost, say 20+ psi instead of flooring it from 0 psi and waiting for power to kick in. Makes a HUGE difference, turbo car will take off like a damn v8.

Guys, I've owned turbo cars before. I know what brake boosting is and how to do it. What I was asking is how can it give a turbo car a 1 car length jump.
