full bolt ons and a tune(hp tuner or trifecta) will net about 320 to 340 wheel hp depending on the dyno.

and about 370 to 380 wheel tq

zz performance went 11.9 at 114 at ~335 wheel hp, stock turbo no meth.

for camparison sake, the gms1 will dyno about 270 to 280 wheel with no bolt ons(its not really designed for bolt ons, so using a cai, etc may actually screw the maf readings and loose hp)

dont quote me, there are a few guys here that know much more (and a few that think they do) about them but i will take a shot.

i believe full bolt-on and extreme tunes (infiniboost) guys are in th upper 300's (ie: 360-380) in tq....HP is a little lower.
the lil stock turbo runs out of breath with full boltons and a good tune.
but, there is def some power to be had if i did an intake, DP, etc etc......

of course, im not doing any of that so its an educated guess

I ran a cobalt ss(turbo) stock and was able to walk it rather easy although I was still pretty surprised. I'd love to see what the stage'd cobalts have. I'm just out of Joliet, where do you guys run em at because I can't find any good places in Will County?

ZZP has a shop car. It is a designated test mule and the only results that are posted are skewed versions of reality to hype and sell parts. Did it run 11.9 @ 114 with the stock turbo? Sure it did. Is that all that the fanbois need to see to buy up ZZP parts like mad? You bet. Has ANYONE else done 11.9? Nope.

What they won't tell you about are the 15 inch wheels because they swapped to smaller brakes, ripped 300lbs out of the car, ran on slicks and tied the rear end up with a tow cable.

That same 11.90 car in street trim would be just another high 12 Cobalt.

Its when you jack the rear of the car up by tying suspension parts tight with a tow cable. It makes the rear end stiff to the point where it's almost unsafe. It also allows you to launch the **** out of a FWD car.

actually cmiller on css.net ran 12.0 at 116 on slicks which is flying, and he still has the stock IC!

stock turbo at about 25 to 26psi with the "pill mod"

he just added meth, but did not run meth when it ran 12.08 the first time, which is a **** hair away from an 11 sec pass which will prob come this fall.

and he does not have a shop car, does not have 300 lbs out of the car, but does have lsj brakes swapped out so he can run 15 inch slicks, not sure what that matters anyway?

its all about the traction with fwd, because the hp is there to run high 11's with these cobalts.

but I do agree, 11 sec cobalts are very few and far between.

Cmiller did everything to his car that ZZP did. Not to mention the next quickest time is like a 12.8 in a stock turbo SS/TC.

By "11 sec cobalts are very few and far between". You mean the ONLY ones in existence are owned by ZZP.

Damn, 340fwhp at around 25psi? That's impressive, but would running the car with full bolt ons and a strong tune like that eat away at the reliability or are they still perfectly reliable? It seems like it would start killing the life of the car.

Juice,

don't know why you feel the need to post false info about cobalts?

anyway, there are others out there that ran faster than a 12.8.

I upgraded my clutch(I had not slipping at all, just did it as a piece of mind), but other are having no issues stock at these tq and hp levels.

like any car, the more hp you make, the more **** wears out. nothing lasts forever

Just like my 10 bolt in my old z28, when I started making power, I was worried it was going to **** the bed on slicks, so I had mikey swap in a moser 12 bolt.

Actually... with the stock turbo the Cobalt's top end is garbage. They start losing steam bad when they shift to 4th gear.

the gear its in doesnt matter....im thinkin u meant loses steam in upper RPM's....4th gear pulls just fine 2500-5000.
but we sure do love 2nd or 3rd gear rolls

but as u can see, me and the G8 went from 1st

That point is irrelevant anyway.
I bet people like to believe that 119mph traps (when the norm is about 107) is easy with the M62.
