Had my first race and first death with my new set up. I picked a tough one for my first race. Hey, trial by fire.
My car: 02 camaro built 6-speed and stock rear. Engine is a 383 all forged with diamond 12.5:1 pistons, ms4, custom ported heads, fast 90/90, and all the other crap to go along with it. Texas Speed tune.
His (Tres) car: 1997 Lexus SC400 with a 2jz 6-speed swap. Built motor, head work, crower 272 cams, custom mani, custom turbo header, turbonetics gtk1000 76mm, and a bunch of other stuff. the day of the race he layed down 734hp at the wheels on 24lbs of boost.
Here are a few pics of his car and then the video. The race is at the 2:00 mark and stops around 2:24. it is the same race from two different angles. We ran from 40-145. There was about 3-4 cars in between us when we shut it down.
We agreed on round two after i finish my nitrous and get some dyno time. He knows he is in trouble after the nitrous is finished.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

I agree. Goes to show you how much more efficient the LS motors are. Ive beaten guys with 150 more hp than me. 3-4 lengths back is good, its not like he destroyed you. I wouldnt say you were killed, maybe just mangled. Lol.
Btw, high compression huh? Race gas only? Im at 12.3:1 but I run an E85/91 mix. Love to see stout n/a cars.

well, anyone who knows anything about 2jz powered vehicles with six speeds would know that outcome. btp lsx ftmfw!
but seriously, i would probably get him in the quarter on motor. i bet he would run mid 11's but at like 135 or some crazy sh*t like that. but he really only roll races. his sweet spot is between 60-70 on up.
thanks! thats kind of how i looked at it. i really expected to loose by far more, but the old slomaro was very surprising. that was the first time i really got on it and stayed on it. hell, i just finished bolting up the fuel rails 4 hrs before the race!
