I get what your saying but once you start to go crazy with mods and you use it as a DD as well you start to put you job, school, and income on the line. When I am providing for my myself or a family (when I have one) and I am late b/c I bent a push rod or what ever b/c I just want to have a fast car in-case someone wants to run then I have a issue. I know not everyone is gonna be able to have 2 cars and with the type of hobby we enjoy, b/c modding is not cheap, but when you start to add more than a few simple bolt on's (nitrous,Procharger, turbo) that put a lot of stress on your motor and drive-train then your just asking to have issues in the future. There is always a happy medium!

A foxbody is a whole other beast then a 4.6 2v... while I think that the foxes look like shiat(personal opinion) they are def a force to be reckoned with...

Now by May of next year I should be around 415 to 420whp and also live in Texas and don't have any issues dragging that 4.6 up and down the road for something better then cash. A 24pack of coors and a pick of you holding a sign saying "adaniel drug my azz so now I'm buying an LS1".. oh and just in case you try something sneaky ill ALSO have a lil surprise in my back pocket for a quick 565 to 570whp if I need it...

Very true...and its just ugly as hell and I could not stand to drive one as a everyday racer.....I would only use one for a straight up drag car.......btw fast50 those tires are insanely huge on your car wtf?

Lol. Long story but I ordered the wrong size tire. Those are 28 10.5w def the wrong size for the car. But I allready paid for them so I had to use them. Lesson learned.

550hp with some weight reduction and lots of traction/gear is a 9/10s car... that's something if you have the right setup.

I went 10s with my stock 5.0 shortblockblock and trapped high 120s years ago. Full interior, pump gas, stock Ford wheels, stock hood, working ac and ps,al swaybars on blah blah. Pretty good for a street car. But yes anything after 500RWHP and you are playing with fire.
R block with some cubes, bigger blower and an aftercooler now....it really hurts some people's feelings including big power Supras on the highway.

Notice its the SLOW cars on this sight that have animosity toward them

Shoot you just haven't seen the right foxes then. I think a clean notchback fox done up with big n littles, a nice paintjob, with a 400+ci bigblock on a large DP of spray is ****. One day I will do that project.

Hell 550 is giving that stock 302 block credit. Usually they split closer to 450-500rwhp. Now throw an aftermarket 302/351 based block in there and watch out! Oh crap I yelled... Need to use my indoor voice too. lol

The foxes advantage is how easy it is to make them really light. They can be made to be damn light and then even if only running 500-550rwhp they still can be deep 9/10 second ET's.

and this is why we build mod motors! there blocks are good to 800hp yea there low on power on a all motor setup but u have to boost them! "nitrous s/c turbo"
and mines a 302ci!

The blocks themselves are good for more than just 800hp. Hell even the WAP aluminum block is good for more than that and it is the "weaker" of em. Much more stout than the pushrod Ford blocks.
